So I got the Dragon’s Cry sword from ST last night, I went out and tried it out a bit but it seems there is a bug with it, sometimes when the whelp spawns he attack only once and then just stand there doing nothing for a couple of seconds before it despawns. Sometimes it spawns and do nothing at all.
It’s a guardian and will only attack if you get damaged by something. It won’t attack if you are attacking something which is not damaging you.
Not sure that can explain the behaviour of the whelp in you case, but i hope it helps.
But I was getting hit and it still did nothing?
Then it’s bugged yes. If it works like dragon’ call from retail which i had on a 50 twink, the whelp should attack an stay up pretty long too. You can also get multiple whelps on retail.
Its up for maybe 10-15 seconds ^^
