i got an email for my super old account from like 2007 that i haven’t logged into in over a decade saying someone tried to reset my password. nothing on my current account yet.
I’ve had Eastern Europeans hack into both my Rockstar account for GTA V and my ubisoft account. The ‘bastards’ got me a million bucks in GTA V online money, so that was nice. They had bought an apartment and sports cars etc. After I recovered my account I got to keep all my new stuff, not that I cared cause I didn’t play GTA V online at all at the time haha.
Sometimes it’s a positive thing a thief steals your account, sells it to some1 else and that some1 buys a bunch of stuff.
Didn’t check if they used my money though hehe, just realized. Could be a nightmare. But I didn’t get any transactions on my credit card since I get a text from my bank after every credit card transaction. I still think they somehow linked a new payment form for it.
But now I feel dumber the more I think about it :s
Yes. But most acc. hacking is likely done via hacks to your e-mail account. Google mail and other major and known names like this are frequently targeted.
Over the years I have had to deal with guild members being hacked and assisting them to get in touch with GMs if need be (not all players have experience how to contact Blizzard in such cases) .
From Blizzard end rarely anything goes a miss, so it comes down to players mistakes. So time to recheck you e-mail, its password etc etc and do a full check up on your PC and online security.
There is option to lock IP, so only from your ip you can play.
Also never use email for blizzard acc elsewhere. You can have new email for other sites.
Happened for me several times. Not to mention i found my charakter not where i left…
The first step you should perform is to secure your computer, then sort passwords etc.
Make sure your PC or any other devices you use to log into your Battle.net account are safe before you change your Password because if you have an active malware on your Computer/other devices, changing your Password won’t be of any use.
Changing the pass is like the first thing you do… when you get the notification the very first time :D. You don’t wait until it happens several more times
Worth to mention that shorter passwords are computationally easier to guess, since sometimes they literally brute force password combinations and 7 letter passwords can be figured out within 30 seconds.
This dude explains it pretty well
I use this for my email - now I get no hassle at all.
Did you recently broke up with your girlfriend?
While I admire your confidence, if our pcs at my healthcare facility can be hacked into by ransomware even through all the security systems we have in place a hacker can get yours too. take all the proper precautions, scans of your pc included.
I’m a WoW player mate, I broke up with 0 of my girlfriends. Rather obvious why.
