  • Planes Traveler no longer increases the duration of Astral Shift.

  • Astral Bulwark now reduces damage taken by an additional 20% (was 15%).

  • Improved Lightning Bolt removed.

  • Thunderstorm has been moved to Improved Lightning Bolt’s position in the talent tree.

  • Lightning Bolt damage increased by 20% for all specializations.

  • Go With the Flow now reduces the cooldown of Spirit Walk by 10/20 seconds (was 7.5/15 seconds).

I hate to be a negative nancy, but it really isn’t enough in PVP to survive. 5% extra dmg reduction IF you take Bulwark? Reshuffle of talents frees up some points but there’s nothing in there to make Shamans substantially tougher.

Thunderous Paws needs to be changed so that it only works IF you are snared or rooted. It’s so easy to waste it.

We need Earthen Wall, Shamanistic Rage and some sort of passive that allows MSW to heal whilst we do damage so we’re not stuck using MSW for Healing Surge spam to stay alive.

Feral Spirits healing would help as well.

I think these are just the first changes Blizzard is testing on PTR. It means they are aware that Shamans have trouble, mostly in PvP. I am not saying these changes will make our class viable in PvP, but just that something is moving at Blizzard.
Hopefully. :crossed_fingers:

Yeah, but I’ve been posting the neglect of shamans for about 6 years. I very much doubt we’ll see any big changes. It’ll be this, just moving talents around, altering a few percentages.

What we need is massive changes to Enhancement survivability. The classes that are good in melee for pvp either have insane burst and gap closing + mortal strike, massive leach and healing or absurd control.

Shamans have none of these, we use to be a one trick pony with Elemental Blast hitting like a nuke.

they’re removing all the Healing Surge modifiers from the Class Tree, now you won’t have swirling currents and you’ll have to choose between refreshing waters and focussed insight. So now HS will heal for absolutely nothing in Arena.

The other changes are ok i guess :-\

Couldnt agree more here. There is no mortal strike or anything like that. Another problem is that for some reason, someone at Blizzard saw people going for Ele Blast and thought it would be great to make it more accessable… this wrong, enh shamans was never about this…
