So i’ve been playing Demon Hunter (Havoc) after returning to WOW (haven’t played since 2009). Level 111 now.
I’ve finished starter area quests and finally got my hands on Twinblades of the Deceiver. Also, i’ve been able to deliver first of Pillars of Creation.
I’ve completed initial quest for Fel Hammer and have chosen my first questing area - Val’sharah. And here’s the problem…
Quest tells me to go to Khadgar in Krasus Landing (Dalaran). I see him there, but the only thing he has to offer me is to do “Assault on Broken Shore”. Which, if i understand correctly, is a quest that’s supposed to be after i collect all of Pillars ? It doesnt seem to me to be in the right timeline.
Also, from Khadgar that i can meet in the Violet Citadel i have other quest, that leads me through some kind of portal, to Suramar. This is very confusing.
Is the “The Tranquil Forrest” quest broken? And which questline should i do first to follow timeline? This one or Suramar ?
I don’t think it’s broken. Since you’re above the max level of the Legion expansion the game offers you content suited for the max level of that expansion. I think you can abandon the quest and then you can use the Azsuna portal in Stormwind to get down to the Broken Isles and make your way to Val’sharah.
Though I suggest that you start leveling in Kul Tiras and come back to the Broken Isles once you’re max level.
I dont understand. I want to follow DH questline. From Fell Hammer i should be able to choose one of 3 regions i want to level up. So i’ve chosen Val’sharah, but i have to speek with Khadgar to finish/start this questline? And i can’t as he doesnt offer me turning in this quest. I want to continue searching for Pillars of Creations. I want to finish Unite the Isles quest, that - as i understand - is a preeliminary quest that, along with all 4 pillars found, is a road that should lead me to Assault on Broken Shore.
Or am i mixing totally different questlines?
I want to continue Demon Hunter class questline started when you create your character.
The Assault on the Broken Shore is a start of a different, max level questline. The game offers you that quest because you have the requirement for that quest (being 110 or over). I think you’ve already done Azsuna so what you can do is simply abandon the quest that says to talk to Khadgar and take a flight down to Azsuna from which you run to Val’sharah.
I’m a bit confused about DH questlines. Am i correct to assume that DH class has multiple separate questlines, and there’s no one path i should follow?
I don’t want to miss any of DH story.
The one with Pillars of Creations isn’t DH class quest but Legion itself?
All quests from Fel Hammer are DH-related quests ?
What about “Artifact” type quests?
Still, even if i can omit meeting with Khalgar and go to Val’sharah on foot, it seems this is a bug.
The Demon Hunter Campaign are the quests you can get in the Fel Hammer. If you wish to only do the campaign then you can ignore going to the other zones. The campaign quests are marked with an orange exclamation mark instead of the normal yellow one I think.
Are DH campaign quests related (in terms of timeline) with Legion story quests? For example when i finish DH campaign im in different “timezone” than the Assault on Broken Shore and, for example, the quest with Pillars of Creations or Suramar ?
I think all of the class hall campaigns take place roughly at the same time. Suramar happens before the assault on the Broken Shore. The Pillars of creation are gathered from the Legion zones (Azsuna, Val’sharah, Highmountain and Stormheim) The last pillar of creation is obtained from The Nighthold raid.
