Something will definitely be done to Blood moon event

And as always penalised will be people who got lives, jobs, families and little time to play.

With current mechanics this is following scenario:

For person who works 8 hours and play healthy 2-3 hours a day we looking at possibility to attend 1 event a day, 2 at max. How much those groups average? 20-40 coins? Let’s say 50 because that’s what I’m making. So I’m looking at realistically 15-20 days to get my weapon.

Farming by killing mobs will not work because there is always someone everywhere. And the most lucrative area from what I see is Kurzen area as mobs there are the lowest level and I see that area being swept all the time so forget going solo into those places. Everything else is an effort. And the biggest issue will be being ganked and then trying to run to the same place as you spawn, as you are guaranteed to be whacked on your way there while losing coins. Very poorly thought out design.

By the time ‘working’ people step at level 40 and try to farm weapons, they will be met by fully geared ‘people with a lot time to play’ who are farming for mounts.

I’m not even joking now but I think at this point it would make sense for mobs to give 4 coins without losing them when you are killed. You allowed people to get away with early bug of farming coins within hours, so be it. Now make it right by casuals.

Can someone give me a breakdown of what the event even is supposed to be about?

Fun never seen before.

Thank you.

how are you making 50 coins ? are you even participating in it ? you know you can group in party of 5 ? do you know what to do ?

I was on 4 events so fare, playing as Prot Paladin, grouped with random players from chat, averaging 400-800 coins per event, i got my 1h weapond and i am 1-2 events away from getting 2h

How in gods name did you make 800 coin after the change?

Not gaining an advantage is not the same as being penalized. Just because you’re not getting everything instantly does not mean you are being punished. Do you also think it’s unfair that someone who works twice as many hours as you do makes more money?

Is that such a bad thing then? Would you have preffered to be done in a day so you could go on the forums and complain about nothing to do?

Party of 5, Heal + 4 DPS, keep killing people on a road north of STV and group that are going to altars to give back bloods

not shure what change you are talking about, 1 min debuff ?

I tried it yesterday, but was kinda disapointed about implementation, its just kill 1-2, get killed, rez, run back as no one attacking you with debuff, rinse and repeat. Very very boring gameplay.
I was imagining people running around killing each other across the zone but since everyone spawns in the same place it feels very bot-like.
Would be much more fun if you or your party spawned at random places in zone (with much more graveyards) would randomize encounters.
Right now you cant “run into pvp”, no openers no tactics. Just run to hotspot try to kill something and then die.

Atleast in faction pvp there is “collision line” so to say

Problem isn’t the event itself, for whatever the design problems most of us knew it would be patched up in the subsequent weeks.
Its that the corresponding vendor was made available during all this, allowing some to pretty much cherry pick what we want within the first couple days… which I would be surprised if one of them came out and said was intended functionality.
Ashenvale had problems too, however the rewards were much less impactful on the phase as a whole than STV will be
