So yesterday I contacted Blizzard costumer support, because I had (and still have) an ingame issue with a quest. I checked if I can open a ticket for this and when I found the correct channel I wrote to them.
And today I got an answer, which shocked me… The representative told me that he is sorry, but that they do not have time for me to discuss the issue with me and wrote some wowhead.com links to me. What is going on here? If I do that to my customers im gonna get myself fired. You just dont tell a person that is giving you money, that you do not have time for them and then send them to a 3rd party site.
And what is with the wowhead links? This is not even a site that is run by Blizzard, its basically a fan site with a very big data base.
And yes, I checked wowhead and Blizzards q&a section before I opened a ticket.

As I understand it, GM’s cannot complete quests for players anymore. They used to be able to, but management decided not to allow it anymore.
GM’s are also not allowed to tell players how to complete a quest, or give any gameplay hints.
They are also not allowed to interfere in bugs unless they are progress breaking. Bugs must be reported to the Dev team by the in-game tool. Given that, theres not really a lot of things a GM can assist with with respect to a broken quest.
Given that their French center of operations has been closed and everyone sacked, I would imagine theres not a lot of… I can’t think of the right word for it, so I will use the word “desire”, theres not a lot of desire to bend over backwards for players. Hence the wowhead links.
Well said. That is a nice and decent answer. That is the way a GM should respond.
I get all of this you know. But you just dont tell people, who are you costumers, that you do not have time for them. That what is odd to me. Blizzard costumer support was always good and very friendly. And at the end of everything, the players are not at fault that their French center was closed. And I was as polite as I could have been.
Sorry about your lousy experience but you can open a new ticket (or maybe reactivate the resolved ticket I’m not really sure how it works). And you can try and tell us what’s the problem you’re having and maybe someone knows a solution (with how long it takes to get a response from customer support it might be easier nowadays).
Also I believe you can fill a survey on your resolved tickets, so you can give your feedback there. Sure you might not feel like it’s the best way to handle that but if enough negative surveys are filled about the same support person I’m sure the company will take action (nobody wants workers who aren’t doing their jobs).

The first thing is please make sure you get the U and the O in customers the right way round, it’s one of my pet peeves, apart from that your English is excellent. I wouldn’t have known if you didn’t mention it.
The thing on topic is that Blizzard, or probably activision, have limited the amount of stuff GM can do, and I mean a lot of stuff not just the major things.
GMs used to be able to do many things they cannot now, and when people find this out then they come here and complain or on occasion rant. The OP was calm about this.
All I am wondering now is which of the bugged quests the OP was trying to do.
The quest is called Halls of Valor: Odyn’s Blessing. I set up a feast at the start of the dungeon, then did the dungeon but Odyn did not gave me his blessing at the and.
I gues I will try it next week again, when the mythic lock expires. Maybe it will be fixed. I reported a bug.
Edit: I did this quest back in legion without any problems, on my warlock and warrior.
thats odd, i completed the quest maybe a week ago or so on my druid and everything was fine, glad you reported the bug. its a silly question but you have waited until the thing spawned where the chest is, right?
on another note, you might circumvent your id if you find someone without mythic id for halls of valor.
It sounds like you received the response that is sent to potential “Game play hint” tickets (Which as others have mentioned Customer Support does not assist with)
At the end of the response it does say to respond to the ticket if this is not the issue you’re contacting about.
With Odyn’s Blessing you can actually enter the dungeon again with a group that has not cleared it, while you should not be able to receive loot again, you should still be able to receive the blessing from the item above the chest at the end.
