Sooo apparently there was a new bannwave for RMT?

I have a good memory. But most importantly games vs any Holy Jungle with a Feral healing two healthbars alone when his entire team is in CC thanks to Guardian Spirit while killing me with the press of one global after the stun through every defensive that I can muster (when my healer has no trinket then) haunt my dreams, be it 1k8 or 3k. You happened to be right in the middle !

I hope every1 pays their taxes, even some sex workers pay taxes.

Perhaps it is individual, i found it very exciting during my first season when i faced r1/glad people. I agree that streamers tanking to 1500 or even to 1200 and playing or doing some 42-0 cringe challenges is stupid. Also they could easily do something about farming glad wins in low mmr. But when there is 2 balance patches/6 months well, some bigger issues to fix first

Still most boosts are done usually over 1.8k maybe closer to 2k mmr. (Atleast when i used to do goldboosts in s1, only the very worst buyers ended up to 1.8k mmr)

Blizzard should fix many things, i’m sure these kind of things will never change.

It was always celebration day when u saw assa instead of sub or outlaw. Every assa player deserves big shoutout. Will give u big kiss as DISC when we meet next time

And my cat in our disc jungle last season each time facing shades assa rmp:
“Okay, send me flowers to this address…” :smiling_face_with_tear:

Thing thing right there should be a reason to get a very long ban. It’s exploiting the system that wasn’t intended to work this way. All those MMR droppers and glad boosters should get banned exactly for that and I’m sure there is easy way to differentiate between people who have a “bad day” and people who are exploiting the system.
If you do this in pve and make some boss stuck so he does no damage while can kill him for free it’s a pretty much guaranteed ban. How is the situation with dropping mmr different is beyond me.

Bye bye cheaters

Wonderung what is going on there on Blizz side^^

Asmongold got banned, which makes no sense why he would do rmt.

Maldiva got banned aswell.

Meanwhie both are unbanned again. Seems more like a curious autobanwave or sth like that.

And based on Whaazz statement, Blizzard did a fu** up on most of their bans.

While Lontar actually postet in his case, it was actually true that he was involved in rmt.

funny that Maldiva recieved a 6 Month ban and now is unbanned again :person_shrugging: idk what is going on here.

it might have to do with playing with people who got banned. for example for asmongold, who from what i recall gets boosted by r1s, and perhaps those same players sell RMT boosts. would look very similar to a sale.

mostly was graycen he played with. Their healer also got banned besides asmon but graycen didnt. Kinda weird whats going on here

Asmon ranks alot with r1 the ratings he climbs on pvp, now he is a interesting phenomenon in wow and occasionally see something from him or hear what he has to say but I wouldnt think him of a r1 pvper himself

Even looking at the ui alone I see pve myself, I mean there is so much glutter and just random on his screen that is useless and binds he clicks with a mouse from hotbar  and he dont use anykind of arena123 binds or macro at all

Oh boy  but my intention is not flame asmon he is funny time to time I just mean he is not r1 pvp and yet he is playing with r1 pvpers to climb so I can see if theres some mixup or why its sus

I guess we could put asmons case on “stream priviliges” which just happens cos people willingly boosts some of these which is not against tos but annoying for the rest playing legit

Kinda like the “streamer raids” on master loot when they build entire raid around one person to ensure everyone passes them some item thats currently bis

Even ziqo and all were doing it, even tho I like ziqo I dislike this type priviliges but hey if anyone is willing to waste their time in a game to boost streamers make more money irl trough their twitch then who am I to judge

PS. viewer games should be against tos as it is basically rmt :man_shrugging:

Like Retier said some people got banned for playing with someone who sold RMT boost so maybe that’s the case.

Blizz will probably assume that a team will share the Money when they boosted someone. A person who buys a boost will of course only pay one person and not 2 persons or 3 persons.
So that is mostly why they got hit by banns. It obviously will be hard to be proven but blizz don’t need to follow the law “innocent till proven otherwise”. According to ToS they can ban you whenever they please and don’t even need a reason to revoke your account.

It would been quite funny to ban asmon for rmt, assuming they were banned for rmt

That guy prints gold irl, guy is millionare cos twitch :+1:

He dont need grind gold in some game to rmt it for irl nuggets, he friggin makes 100k month or something dumb cos a twitch persanality

That coward Lontar blocked me on Twitter after I told him in polite words to get out of the community and stop ruining the legitimacy of competitive WoW.

Like, imagine posting a “sincere” apology on Twitter in the hopes that Blizz will show you some clemency, then you block people who are understandably unhappy with the fact that you ruined the legitimacy of an esport by boosting other players on the ladder to high ranks. That kind of crap behaviour as an esports personality tells me he’s more sorry he got caught than anything else.

Any other publisher would have done a full ID ban on him, by perma banning all current/future accounts in his ownership, and going so far as to DMCA his streams if he tries to even stream their game next.

Only thing I can’t stand more than wallet warriors is the people who sell “skill” for real world money. This boost culture is the cancer that is killing WoW and it honestly speaks volumes when you can buy a bunch of WoW tokens and effectively buy your way to KSM, Curve or Gladiator.

It also says a lot when Blizzard just five years ago released a free-to-play trailer for StarCraft II dunking on pay to win games, yet ironically Mike Ybarra, the current President of Blizzard, has been known to do Mythic+ boost sales live on his stream

they had to after what discord did, they were lookin like clowns

To be fair there is a big difference between boosting for glad and boosting for KSM for example, Gladiator is a zero sum game, someone has to not get glad in order for someone else to get it, but literally 100% of the playerbase could get ksm every season.

That was hilarious. Discord caring more about the state of the game than Blizz themselves…

It’s certainly directly devaluating the worth of rewards for legitimate players, like for example if you had 2 options to get rewards. 1 is to just directly pay Blizzard X amount of money, and they’ll do a console command to give you the achievement and reward(s) on your account moments after, without you having done anything else. The 2nd option being to get the same achievement and reward(s) after working hard for 'em.
The 2nd option doesn’t really seem worth it when the 1st option exists, does it?

But you should also keep in mind that a part of the reason it’s so industrialized, is because of CRZ. Because of xrealm groups. Because of the removal of faction barriers. Because of the removal of region barriers.
In other words, the more people you can play with, the more people boosters can sell their services to without needing to go through extra steps.

Or Blizzard could just get rid of the corrupted policies that allows such things to begin with, manual oversight is a cornerstone of competitive fair play.

why shouldnt it be worth it doing/earning something yourself
everyone only fixated on rewards these days?
