- The Brawler’s Guild is now temporarily closed. This forum for fisticuffs and furious fighting will return in the future.
It only said future not SL.

Some Shadowlands content got scrapped. Besides, would it have made any sense within the context of the expansion?

Not all content has to make sense in the context of an expansion. For example, the pet battle dungeons are also unrelated to the themes of the expansion.
9.1.5’s awful stupid censorship changes also had nothing to do with Shadowlands’ narrative…
Or, actually, I might be wrong. If we accept that the main concept is that Shadowlands = intentional destruction of lore and characters, then in fits perfectly.

Not on the wowhead article itself. That says in SL. So there must be information beyond that bluepost that says otherwise. And if it was a mistake it would of been edited out.
Sure, but content still got scrapped. And imo it made sense this feature was one of the first to go.
When the so-called “developers” spent weeks looking through every text and image file in the game to find stuff to ruin, nobody can convince me that they didn’t have the resources to at least upscale the BFA Brawler’s Guild for the new max level.
And especially since the x.1.5 patches were usually the ones where they made newer versions of the Brawler’s Guild, it wouldn’t surprise me that they scrapped it specifically to make room for their lunacy.
For reference, even WoD had a Brawler’s Guild update, and that expansion had like half of its planned content cut. And it also took place in another dimension, so thematically it fits exactly as well as with Shadowlands.
I love the brawlers guild but i can not see it coming back before DF now unless they are going to shock us in season 4.
i miss doing it, but i gotta admit i always did it mid night, because of how it works.
Not asking for a change, but that little challenge is fun/annoying.
Watching people do the brawls has always been good fun!
And I’m sure I’ll get to watch again eventually ^^
