Like many i also completed the first time the world quest “A few bumps along the way” was up before i knew it was needed for the sorrowbane treasure.
Finaly today we have the quest up again. But the achievement and the sword is immpossible to get. There are too many people at the mushroom place eating Edible Redcaps. And the Redcaps have respawn time of 2-3 mins. Even if you go with the world quest buff… its immpossible to eat 4 in 10 mins.
Also there were people eating them just to grief people.
I guess its supose to be rare treasure but… that ship has sailed. I just want the transmog at this point but… if this continues … Noone will ever get it. Please boost the respawn time of the mushrooms.

Absolutely, as soon as the word on how to obtain it spread it got impossible to get it. The only chance you have is on very obscure extreme late at night tries when there are almost no people up playing which us usually 2 - 6 AM.
Working 40+ hours/week depriving myself off sleep just for a chance to get it seems nuts, while you need to think about it just needs 1 idiotic person to completly deny you the attemp once again. They desparetly need to boost the mushroom spawn timer or just make it so the sword isn’t an absolutely must have for 2H wielders anymore.

i manage to get it… But it was very … intense experience. Joined bunch of questing groups in maldraxus to realm hop. I find one where there was noone in the area with the mushrooms. Kindly asked the group leader if he can stay with me in a party so i can complete the whole thing. Thankfully he was cool and let me stay for 10 mins. Went did the world quest… returned to the mushroom place… Found out there are 2 people there this time. And it was realy intense 7-8 mins mushroom clicking but i managed to get it with 1 min left on the world quest buff.
SO yeah. Please blizzard improove the Edible Redcap respawn rate. Its very very hard to get for something that is timegated like that.
Tbh this is just designed by a moron. Actually a weap people can use then make it impossible to get. Why not make the mushroom respawn fast and clickable by multiple people? This is just a middelfinger to everyone that can actually use this to progress. Soon it will be a useless piece of trash cause we can’t get it in time. Might be time for an evaluation of this persons contract.

I tried to server hop but it didn’t accept it for multiple attempts. Only by the time my WQ buff had less than 1 minute left it worked and I got into a phase where noone was on the mushroom spot, but at this point it was already to late.
Exactly this. I don’t understand why the mushrooms are only usable by 1 person and then despawn instantly. With a short timegap like that it’s near impossible to get it in time and pull out the sword. Just make the mushrooms clickable by multiple people and the issue is solved immidiatly.

I managed to get 1x edible redcap buff in 10 minutes. And never saw any other mushroom except the 1 i ate myself.
Surely there would have been more, but the place was swarmed.
I just gave up and hearthstoned away.

I completely agree with you. I did what you suggest (woke up at 2.30 am to have a better shot at this), but there were three other competitors as well as other people around, so I failed miserably.
Seriously Blizzard, when people start resorting to means that are health - impacting, you know something is wrong. I’m not saying I should have deprived myself of sleep, but when it’s one of the only recourses to get something in the game, you know something is wrong.
It is possible to get it as you can do wq in raid group and have infinite attempts as long as it is up, they way i did it i realm hopped to try to find shard with less people, also when no mushroom i realm hopped and managed to get it with 9 attempts, its bad design but doable when lucky.
