With people hitting cap again after already crafting a max legendary, what are people doing with their Soul Ash?
Using it or saving it?
Since we can only use 1 legendary at a time and can’t get back currency after using it with no idea what might be coming in future patches, save it or use for loads of different lower rank legendary or use for a second max rank legendary?
I maxed out 2. Will still hit soul ash cap again, at which point I will simply stop going to Torghast, because there are no more legendaries I want to craft.
I’m nowhere near being capped out on soul ash. I got my legendary. And i am not going to do torghast without any reward as its not fun. I will do it on my alts just to get the legendary as well. But thats it. No need to do tedious boring content without any rewards.
I have 3 legendaries at the moment. 1 is 235, one is 210 and the other is 190. The 235 is my main one, the 210 is for M+ and the 190 is for situational times (It’s the 50% slowing on corruption one).
It’s best to have 2-3 different legendaries, especially if you’re maxed on. Each week you can only get a certain amount of Soul Ash, so, keeping it maxed out means you’ll lose out on a few weeks.
With 9.0.5 there will be buffs to some legos, so I’m saving up enough for a second one and will spend it once it’s clear what I should get. Come 9.1 there will probably be some form of currency devaluation as with titan residuum and soul ash @ current cap will be worth a lot less than it is now. The general rule with WoW is that it’s best to spend what you have in the current patch as it gives you more value now than it will do next patch. Having said that, gold is an issue with legos - is it really worth dropping 100k+ gold just to avoid wasting some ash?
do we know for sure already how it’s going to work in future patches? will we simply need to upgrade our existing ones with base items, or do we ever need to craft new ones from scratch at the start of a season with soul ash?
