I mainly play a tank DH, but I also play all other tank classes mostly in M+. Here’s my suggestion:
Why does Soul Cleave require a target if it strikes 5 enemies in front of you for equal damage?
Why not make it function like Shield of the Righteous or Revenge? You can cast without it requiring a target to be selected, be in front of you and in range. You can also make it that it doesn’t heal you and collect soul shards if u don’t hit any targets.
Sometimes the mob you’ve selected steps back a few yards, or charges someone or jumps behind you. And most of the time you TAB to different one, but when u gotta watch for affixes, enrages, your HP, healer’s mana, your defensive CDs, your interrupt and mobs aggro and when to start to kite… it gets a little frustrating when I click Soul Cleave and nothing happens cause the mob jumped back to the healer.
It might look like a minor thing to complain about and I agree, it’s not a game breaker, but it would be nice to have it function like other cleave spells (Revenge, Swipe, Shield of the Righteous etc.). I think it would make picking up aggro at start of fight a lot easier.
And for those who gonna claim: “OMG use sigil and immo aura, OMG stupid”.
That’s why I said “it’s not a game breaker, but it would be nice…”
