Why dont you test it on a dummy? Having fiery brand legendary changes your rotation to spirit bomb at 4+ and maybe like 2 cleaves for the cd? IF you dont have it, I would use spirit bomb everytime I can at 4+ and if you need an extra heal with no souls, just use cleave. But spirit bomb will always do more dmg, because it isnt target capped. Thats why you do more dmg as vengeance than havoc. I use soul cleave if I have too much fury. Other than that usually i want more dmg for m+.
I havent raided with it so far, only m+.
I never liked the design of Spirit Bomb because it’s so similar to Soul Cleave. Demon Hunters already have very few abilities, so it feels bad to have 2 spender abilities that are nearly the same.
The fiery brand lego only works if you get souls with soul cleave so doing that rotation would do nothing for you if you want to utilize that lego
I’ve tried using spirit bomb but I feel super squishy without the armour from immolation aura. What am I doing wrong?
Do I have to kite the pack the whole time?
You always and only bomb on 4+ souls no matter the build you play. With lesser souls it is weaker than soul cleave.
You wanna bomb on max souls so you can dump fury with soul cleave after.
In the fiery brand build i would recommend not taking bomb. Doesn’t really complement the build since it is the survival build. bomb goes into lower content where you want to to have more damage.
So healing wise the Soul Cleave will always be stronger fury for fury, fragments for fragments? Also what about GCDs. Damn this is kinda good info to be had albeit it can refer to min-maxing and not really useful for normal play.
