You cannot expect players to use an ability with cast time that does almost no damage and has zero synergy with our toolkit. It feels so bad to use an active ability that has no impact on your performance.
Either make it a passive AOE effect or buff it so you can actually see a difference whether you use it or not. Or just delete it… we don’t really need useless talents.
I was thinking about it and what if they replace it with the pvp talent call observer (Anytime an enemy within 20 yards casts a harmful magical spell, the Observer will deal up to 5% of the target’s maximum health in Shadow damage.). Could be fun in late M+.
At this point I’d rather they replace both gaze and soulkeeper with either Dark Soul cds or remove Grand Warlock’s Design from the spec trees and put it there instead.
It really shows bilzz have no idea what to use as the class capstones. They’re kinda useless, except in very niche situations (ooo a bigger Healthstone…yay).
I honestly cannot fathom why 3 of the shadowlands covenant abilities (with legendary effects - albeit reduced to not be OP) wasn’t used as the CLASS capstones.
Impending Catatrophe? Yeah I’d like to play with that in M+ fortified weeks!
Decimating bolt for ST encounters?
Soulrot as balanced between the two, buffing crit and haste for whatever purpose i like…combine with a pitlord, infernal, big seed spam, maybe to just push a phase, difficult set of adds in a high key.
So much potential.
The synergy was there and they’ve dumped it in the bin (I don’t even care if they changed the gfx, called it something else and pretended it was a brand new ability to make it warlock themed). Warlock gets faster drain life? Really? When DK gets abomination limb?
