I’d really like to see this item respect loot spec, or active spec. So it does not become borderline useless and dissapears to some unknow and unused part of the soulbind pane.
Unfortunately this is how conduit upgrades are designed: you have to ugrade everything, this is dumb but they didn’t changed it in S1 so I doubt they will now.
What you can do however is running some M+ to get all conduits available from M+ to 226. Then use the item for the rest.
They drop from pretty low levels keys, I have done 1 +8 & 1 +10 for now & I got 3? conduits
The conduit upgrades have never respected your spec preference. They always go for what you are missing first, then the lowest ones, no matter what they are.
Welcome to conduit upgrading.
about this item ive had it drop few times either from rare or treasures
on 2 or 3 char max 1/2
interesting that this item isnt high rng
The biggest annoyance I have is that you can get multiple of the same conduit drop from cache’s if you haven’t turned in the conduits from your bag.
I only hand in one cache at a time and open that and learn them before doing another. Learnt that the hard way. It’s an annoying side effect of the system.
I keep getting ones for off-spec too, its just frustrating and feels incredibly unrewarding. Also why are there even so many ridiculous conduit ranks to begin with? Seems like such a pointless system just for the sake of having “something to collect” or whatever.
Definitely an item to bank until you have at least ilvl 200 of all conduits… burnt a bunch on a couple I apparently never picked up before
I have three specs they can drop for. Theoretically Demon Hunter must have it easiest and Druids must have it the worst.
Ideally you could target the conduit you want to upgrade.
But
Metrics.
Oof yeah… forgot about druids it worse for them for sure!
That be great, if only…
The one thing i wish it did was actually boost conduits up TO 226 instantly to catch us up, if you have a bunch of random 213 and 200 conduits that you never got to drop it will still take weeks to get them all to 226, then we got a new cap for them.
Sure, not every conduit scales good, some conduits gain like 0.6% dmg for going from 213 to 226 so it doesn’t really matter, but why not just allow people to automatically bump from whatever ilvl they have to 226 since that was the last patches cap?
