I am interested in finding out if you can turn down/off the sound for character sfx. I cannot stand belf DH grunts, it sounds like they’re constipated, but my orc’s sound effects are fine. Is this possible?

I REALLY REALLY want a LONG sit-down with whoever is in charge of sounds for WoW!
On one hand, the coverage is amazing, and there are SO many great soundscapes, effects as well as music, and I couldn’t play WoW without the sounds. Couldn’t. On the other hand, I’m so often left shaking my head and wondering WHY?
It definitely is possible, but (shakes head) they recently made it much harder, for no apparent reason.

is where you start. You need to find the specific sound you want muted or substituted if it hasn’t already been built in.
https://wow.tools/ is a great database you can use if you need to go digging for the sound.
