Sound issues in-game WoW

While playing WoW, if there is no “new sound” (like casting a spell, mounting/dismounting, attacking etc), all sound fades out from the game. For instance, if I’m standing in a town and doing nothing, I can hear the wing-flap from my mount for around 5s, before it cuts out and I hear nothing from the game. If I do something like dismount, the sound cuts back in and works fine. If I summon someone, I can hear the summoning sound for a bout 5s, then it cuts out and goes quiet until a new action is performed. While this really is a non-issue in continuous combat, it gets really annoying when playing casually and flying around. I have tried to adjust the in-game sound settings but to no avail.

Change sound channels from 64 to 48 and see if that helps.

I think it is the faul;t of recent windows update. I have this sound issue for about over a week. Before update everything was fine.

In my case I have updated sound drivers, graphic card as well. Cleaned pc with ccleaner, scanned with malwarebytes. I have even disabled weak auras addon and details during carpace on nyalotha but i have sounds lags even though. So i think it is the fault of recent windows update.

Hey, i just was searching for my sound problem, and the only thread i could find was this, was their an fix?

I have the same problem, don’t know what to do.

Anyone figured a fix?
