After I restart the game, or reload my settings in game, my sound settings reset to go up to the highest sound level possible. It’s very annoying to have to redo the settings every time I log in on a character. This started to happen after the latest patch to WoW Classic. Is there a fix for this? I found a very old post that said to delete the config file in WTF folder and make a new one when game launch, but this didn’t work for me.
Do you know of another way for me to fix it myself?

Edit: I have tried with disabling my addons too.
Are you sure an addon is not doing this? On live servers for example, bigwigs resets your sound channel settings.
Which settings are you changing?
I only try to change the regular sound settings in Escape meny. The regular ones. Where you can slide the slider for sound, ambience, npc voice etc. Like I said I did try this without addons. 
I dont have BigWigs, but I do have DBM… I will check that addon anyway coz I DID update that one recently. I remember in retail I had to change sound output a long time ago in that specific addon. I’d forgotten about it. I will try this and get back to this thread. Thank you for the advice.

You could insert these lines into one of your addons using notepad or make a new addon using https://addon.bool.no/.
I thank you so much for giving good advice =) I found the pesky addon that did it. Apparently I didn’t check all addons before like I thought. I did a proper check with enabling them one at a time and checking the sound settings in between, and I found it. It was EasyFishingClassic addon that did it. I’ll send them a note about it on their webpage.
