Working hard in phase 2 farming materials and creating stuff, accumulated about 300 to 400 gold.
Now I got screwed over in two ways: inflation means my gold is worth less, and all my hard work didn’t pay off.
I’m really trying my best not to curse the SoD dev team to hell and back, but man, this completely ruined my day.
I completely understand, I sympathize. Totally not fair, I went to have my sleepy time after the login error as well.
But at the same time - all these “thousands. thousands of gold” threads are very funny to read.
I understand that if you didn’t have much gold to begin with, it sucks.
But this is a straight up high kick in my face, it’s not even a slap anymore. Blizzard just roadhouse kicked my head in and told me to stop wasting my time on this game.
They really EFFED it up for me. I wasted all my time for nothing.
I’ve said it many times before. These devs are very bad. SoD would been better off with a new serious team who arent amateurs

Mistakes happen, but there is no fix, and the lead dev stated he was happy with the results.
So 2 months of farming gold = 400g.
Some jackaz dude that managed to login when login servers were down farming incursions for 6 hours = 1200g and level 50.
And today every consumable is 4x more expensive on the AH and 400g wont be able to afford even a few raids.
Its not sod team. Its ppl who were spamming in screaming like crazy “oPEN lIViNG FlamE i WAnT pLay WiTH mY frIeNdS”

The good news is based on the current feedback from the wolrd first guild, basically nobody wants to put a foot in there (ST). Killing mechanics everywhere, boss with 4 times ragnaros HP pool from 60, poison everywhere giving massive advantage to horde because of totems etc .
On a side note, if you enjoyed gatekeeping in p2, you will love p3. Mages everywhere, shamans for horde and druid for alliance for dispel poison duty.

Considering most prices actually went DOWN since phase started you’ll be happy to know the “inflation” you were scared of is actually turning into DEFLATION.

No one got 1.2k, ahywhere. Not even close.
High end was 500-700. And you can STILL get 50% of that if you do the Incursions.
So in reality, people took 250-350g more than you will for 10 lvls. And you can still keep on doing Incursions at lvl 50 for gold. Its not the end of the world. Jesus these players are…
The fact that probably 10% of the game pop got 300g more than you will not result in ANY kind of inflation. Bots are farming and selling millions of gold each day, trust me, this was not even a drop in the bucket.
The “inflation” you are seeing is the release of a new patch. It happens every single time. Hype kicks in, people buy everything cuz they just got some gold from lvling etc etc. Its normal. On top all the prof and raid mats/consumes go up because of INSANE high consumption.
Give it 2 weeks, the prices will go down, life will go back to normal.
People had 8 hours to do this and people in my guild were doing it on multiple alt chars, since leveling is really fast it was really easy for them to skip the longer quests and do the fast ones then rinse and repeat!
m8, this is bs delusion. The most polite way I can say it.
Outside of ppl having the exact info of where the quests are and that the gold and xp would be this high ? Which no one did, unless you know someone at Blizzard.
So you are telling me, your friends were at the incursion point waiting on launch, instantly went in, started doing the perfect strat of skipping the 15/15 kills etc which… there is no point to do then, since its empty of 99.9% of the player pop. I mean, you are literally inventing things.
My grp went in, it took us at least 1hr to figure out where everything is, how the quest transfer works. Reading quests to see where we should go. A lot of info that takes time. And we still managed to get to 47 before the nerf happened.
Again, very very few did go in from the start. And im sure they made a bit more gold. But saying “My m8s ran multiple chars thru before the nerf” its just… well, I cant rly use the word here, il get banned, but not very smart.

A load of crap is this post. Mithril bars were around 10 silver each, now they’re 1 gold each thanks to this crap.
You are both wrong, prices went down because less people were engaging with the auction house when occupied with leveling. Mithril Bars were 10s because few used them in P2, now people are leveling professions.
