As title says, all needed to be said about it.
Remove it. It’s a trash spell that looks terrible, does almost nothing and is annoying to use.

Nah its beautiful and very satisfying, granted from a pve perspective.
That calls for a buff in my eyes!
A buff for the spear would be good. If you’re looking for PvP, then increase its root duration.
If for PvE increase the benefit from it when it comes to critical strike damage

They did same with dk slapy hands nerfed to the ground.
It used to be such a fun button to press and made things more interesting but most specs have a way to escape or immune it now so yeah, please fix! Dragon Roar is a boring button to press

A simple change would just be a choice node that makes it a frontal cleave that tethers 1-3 people to you. Your target, or, your target +2 other players.
This way PvErs get to keep their big aoe ground spear which im sure is fun, but pvpers get a spell that isn’t buggy af.
