Hello players and blizzard supports,
I wanted to ask if there is any chance that [Leggings of the Erudite Scholar] won’t drop from Plaguefall? My total runs on PF is 70, and I did it around 20-30 times these 3 weeks, got all the items except the one that I want, is there a possibility that it is a bug or it will not drop at all? I’m a bit frustrated with this. it’s been toooooo long since I want this item and can’t get it after this much grinding
Hi there, im glad you are enjoying the MMORPG experience, where RNG tells if ur a skilled player or not =). dont worry to much atm about those, a new season is around the corner, and this means u gonna grind it again =D, isnt it fun!

yea I love grinding, but thinking that am I doing the right grinding is killing me xD I thought maybe it’s a bug that is not dropping or I’m missing something. that is why I was frustrated
i respect that u love grinding, just wish there was some awesome things u can grind instead of char power… like cosmetics, pets, titles or who know what. i just wish the game was baseline for all and no power creeps, so that u can actually get good players, and not ppl willing to overgrind power for content. being good should be more valuable than willing to grind.

Dw, I have like 40 dungeons trying to get a item so you aren’t close.
Tbh I never seen the weapons drop from PF

no no it’s not bug …its the blizzard design of FUN to grind item …and after 6 months you need to grind it again and again and when expansion is over …guess what cycle repeats itself

The dungeons where always RNG.
So nothing new on shadowlands.
ye but not this kind of RNG where loot table is big like america and drop chance for party is 2 items per dungeon xD
And my BIS gear for PVE still the PVP gear.
Blizzard we need a loot table big like 2 americas plus I guess the weapon drop rate is lower than other items.
I had a quick look on wowhead but couldn’t see any comments about it being bugged
It does suggest it’s a 6% drop rate.

Thanks, what is the other items percentage?
Blizzard will never reveal the real %. That is just an assumption.

i feel the same way
but about a chest from devos that only drop once for me
untimed +7s are still a 213 for vault
best replacement i had was breastplate of cautious calculation 213 from m0 dungeon event
You’d have to look up each item to see that. Wowhead stats are based on their users submitting data.

Does seem mega unlucky, there’s 7 items in the drop file and 2 are a weap and trink. Which are deffo much lower drop chance then legs. What difficulty you doing it on? 6% seems about right with only 2 loot dropping per run. 70 runs and it not dropping is just disgustingly unlucky

I’m doing between 10 to 17 (mostly 14), most items that I’ve got was Feet and Back which is dropped about 5-6 times at least, and the least one was the Trinket which was 2, and Leg is 0, that’s why I was a bit curious to see if it’s a bug or not.
Btw, from the time that I’ve post this topic, I’ve tried it 3 more times and got 1 more Back lol
I did plaguefall m+ 30 times on my mage before I got the ooze trinket and mind you, it didn’t drop for me the tank that already had it gave it to me. Honestly that was painful as hell.

Drop rates are absolutely scuffed this expansion. It took me 31 total runs of HoA for the cloth feet to drop. And I don’t mean drop for me, they haven’t dropped at all for 30 runs even with multiple clothies in most groups.

Low drop rates are always aggravating, but almost never a bug. Thing to remember is that if the chance is 10%, it’s always 10%. It doesn’t matter if you did 29 runs without a drop already, the chance of the next run is still only 10%.
Blizz have pushed the game’s gearing towards “you get what you’re given”, and farming specific items is really not worth the effort, imho. It’s not too hard to get a decent set of “any stat” gear, but the optimisation process beyond that is absurd.
