Like many other i enjoy collecting transmog and mounts from older expansions. But after the nerf to Bear tartare and War machine(fury talent) i have had to farm speed gear to get somewhere near the speeds i used to achieve before. Was there ever an offical statement from Blizzard on why they decided that nerfing speed increases was a good idea? I would understand if they applied this treatment to other items and spells to avoid “cheesing” World Pvp, but now we have buffs in Nazjatar and Mechagon that makes those arguments invalid if they were ever in question. Just looking for some clarification on this, so if anyone has any info i would appreciate it.

How do you farm speed gear?
I don’t think I’ve seen any gear with that stat on for ages.
It was either that or they nerf the gold in instances.
Benthics are one way.

I can speed run everything i want from old content.
The amazing thing about me is that i could solo Helfire citadel on mythic in 8.0 while people cried out that nobody could solo the helfire assault on the forum.
the ting is that sharing my secrets will not bee appreciated because people are doing it to get what they want.
They didn’t nerfed because was a good idea or bad,they did it because they want to make the latest content unrelevant as farming for food buff.
You see any speed buff in Bfa by farming for food,i guess not and they won’t make the same like in legion,idk,maybe they like boring things that needs to bee farmed like zombie,then people are farming almost everything.
Benthic gear works only in nazjatar and eternal palace, how do you utilise perks from it in old dungeons?
Stats from it work anywhere. Only passive effects are Nazjatar/EP exclusive.
You mean exchanging pearls and fishing for random +speed bonuses? it’s possible to do, but time consuming.
If you don’t have any use for your pearls anymore, I mean why not try and get some easy speed gear?
Might try it actually now that I’ve got the idea planted in my head.
i think fishing for some low level azerite gear with https://www.wowhead.com/spell=268594/longstrider is better and more reliable choice.
Well,its not that time consuming. If u have alts, u can quickly get many tokens.

Its not that time consuming if you have played for a while and dont have need of the pearls any more. two of the benthic Azerite peices has Longerstrder on it aswell so theres aorund 10% speed for 10 pearls:)
The official statement for nerfing bear tartare was that they didn’t want people to feel the need to farm old content for this recipe.
They could have avoided this by adding a bfa speed-food recipe instead.
They could also add a speed buff to dungeons and raids when the player outlevels them enough.
Personally, the thing holding me back most from farming old content is that it’s so slow again. And not just the bear tartare, I main afflock and in Legion I had soul flame which would just chain-react-kill entire rooms in old raids/dungeons with 1 dot.
What’s it even matter we go faster in instances? We’re still bound to 10 per hour max.
Are Legion raids soloable yet on all difficulties?
Depends on the class and their survivability. For example I can solo all of Legion raid bosses (except Antorus cause Immonar) on normal and heroic on my dh.
And on my blood dk I was able to solo some mythic bosses too.

My only option now is to have nitro boots and stack Lightfoot potion, and i barely use star moss for any of my pre-pots or flasks, So i just dump them on speed potion (rank 3, anything below is a waste).
