Spell batching - do we need this?

this artificial delay is just complete non-sense, it bugs game mechanics and makes the game feel more unresponsive than vanilla ever was.

Well it allows priests and palas to self dispel polymorph. That’s something.

I dont know what are you talking about guys, but i agree.

They admitted it’s less than 5 updates a second (200ms) in the following post:

It used to be variable depending on world load, it’s a static 400ms now which is why it feels twice as “laggy” as it did most of the time and other times; much worse.

Still not single reason to keep this in game that way, reduce to minimum and make all the spell design work as intended. Even that this was existing back in the day the whole reason for Classic to even exists now was private vanilla servers and how many people wanted to play classic content. There was no sensible batching in any of them and people just loved to play. Classic have enough RNG to make it fun and unpredictable so no need to add into that with some artificial lag. Not remove but at least reduce to minimum.
