Quick question: ATM my shadowbolt is 1,5sec cast time with 30% haste. IF i want to reduce it to 1,3sec cast time with the haste corruptions. How much haste do i need? ATM i have 2k haste (with no haste corruptions)
I am able to buy 3x 12% haste curruptions ATM. Do i need atleast 3x12% or is 2x12% enough. Basiclly how much haste is needed for 1,3sec cast shadowbolt?
Actually I’ve been tracking my haste for a while and I think blizz has some phishy stuff going on behind the scenes. I’m going to refer to blizz trickery as modifiers, and haste stat as haste:
I think haste soft caps at 30%, maybe 35% because I haven’t seen/ felt much improvement after this. However when you’re experiencing super fast casts these are not really due to haste increases I believe. I think the code shows visually a haste increase but actually behind the scenes just speeds up the animation itself.
The reason I say this, is because I get haste procs from some sources which don’e really have much effect if any at all, but I get haste procs from other sources which have a huge effect on my casting speed. Such as BL, TW type of buff, that’s a 25% plus haste buff right, but if you increase your haste manually to match that 25% buff, you won’t be casting that fast at all. I think like with many buffs from other classes or certain trinket procs, you get the modifier to increase animation speed. But your own haste will never match up after a certain % has been reached.
I think this is to stop people focusing on one stat which could potentially break the balance of the class and I think it was implemented just after Cata, when we all reforged specific stats which made some classes stupid OP.
The expedient build relies on EP traits to work at peak efficiency. With 40% base haste I have basically 100% uptime on ~90% haste which makes a huge difference.
