There are actually some spells (and I’ll also add some sound effects, like shadowburn which sounds like you’ve stepped on a poor dog’s tail) that would need a visual improvement. In some cases it wouldn’t even be “tiring”, I’m thinking of the demon fire channel which could very well use the channel of the mother of chaos summoned with Diabolist.
Changes that should be made:
-incinerate: please, old incinerate was incredibly beautiful. In general, all the fire spells of Destruction are too similar to the “lava” ones of the shamans
-Dimensional Rift and in general all the portals from which demons emerge, such as the dreadstalkers, the second felguard, the primary demon
-Soulfire: please, the old vanilla animation was wonderful, especially the missile trajectory and not with the current curve. Furthermore, with green fire the spell appears very small and ugly, as well as low resolution. A sort of giant fire skull/demon would be very nice (like the old shadowbolt, so to speak)
-Shadowbolt: please, here too, the old spell with the skull and shadow tail was fantastic while the current one looks like a shadow priest spell, both in terms of shape and trajectory
-Haunt: it would be much better if it were “similar” to the old soulfire in the dark version, emphasizing the skull that appears once you reach the enemy
-Whiter: I would like it if in addition to the more captivating sound effect there was a burning effect similar to the current immolate, obviously in the shadowflame version
-Souburn: there is currently an HD version in the game and with a better alpha as well as a more beautiful animation in a spell for example of the bear world boss in Emerald Dream, it would be enough to copy the animation
-Drainsoul: I like the current animation and graphics even though it has been present in the game for decades now, but it would be better to make it in HD with a lower alpha so as not to be too visually impactful
-Demon within: ok guys, you have always done a sometimes even exceptional job regarding the warlock and in general… but please reconsider the model used in Soulharvester which often comes out of the ground like a sort of wind-up clown. The model is really obscene, forgive me, but it’s a cross between an Arakkoa from Burning Crusade, a Drustvar witch from BFA and a scarecrow…
