Does anyone know of an addon yet to shrink this down some or make it moveable?
The addon: DeModal, helps, lets you move any window as you would move windows on desktop. Don’t know of one that lets you resize windows tho, that would be great aswell.
than you for the help
I use BlizzMove add-on which lets you move windows about, even stack them. You can also place you cursor on top bar of a window and use mouse wheel to scale/resize them.
I really love the new spellbook, not having to have separate tabs of your class and specialisation abilities is so nice. It’s the size of the talents tree but you can halve it. Even as a half do you find it too big?
I do think it would be better if the windows could overlap with others or you could simply move them around like you would on a PC. I’m definitely going to check out that addon!
I can’t understand why this isn’t actually built into the game and why we still need some addon for it after 20 years, especially with all the UI revamping they have been doing recently. This would be a big QoL improvement for many.
And they said size doesn’t matter.
My bags and the AH have always been opposite sides of my widescreen monitor and at times it’s like a tennis match to use. This is going to save my neck
BlizzMove
You can see the new spellbook from space!
yesterday when I looked there were 2 things I had not got on the bar. The bar was covered with the spellbook. Just a bit of a nuisance.
I can understand if it’s covering things that it’s going to be an issue and needs options for players.
Indeed, I also found BlizzMove yesterday. DeModal has some slight bugginess to it here and there because it’s getting more and more outdated, but BlizzMove+DoNotClose recreates the same experience and it works better.
DeModal does work, but I recommend the other combo.
But I also must say I agree with the criticism of the spellbook and the talent panel before it. They’re HUGE, they completely obstruct the view of the whole game while you’re using them. There is no reason for them to be this size, either of them.
Interestingly the single page version of the spell book is kinda nice. Would like an option to make that default.
I don’t personally have an issue with either of those. When I’m looking at both those things, I’m not going to be actually doing things in the game anyway.
But… Sometimes I want something to be bigger or smaller just for aesthetics.
And for instance; I like my transmog screen to be big, so I can see my character better when picking outfits.
A big transmog preview that optionally opens could make a lot of sense, yeah.
But I think keeping the player looking at the world as much as possible is super important. Therefore panels should take up about the same amount of screen space as the character panel, ideally exactly that much.
worked a dream ty
because it is great if you can outsource your job for free to the player base.
best move you can make as a game developer to allow controlled addons so you have millions of free developers that make your game actually playable
I don’t really like the new spellbook, its a so huge and covers most of the screen. It’s also quite buggy. Like when you have the option to hide passives, it sometimes also hides abilities you can use so if you have to toggle on and off the passive toggle. Also doesn’t always tell if you have a talent on your bar or not.
