Spellcast delay from damage taken

As caster this more and more feels anoying to deal with, i consider switching too void elf
Have anyone does the math on that if the delay on damage for a cast does screw your dps alot?

It feels like i need twice the time getting a cast off with 2 meeles on me, it makes fake casting harder

Have someone play void elf and loves the racial Preternatural calm?

And why is there no delay for meeles : )

There is, Its called = staying on melee range (being kited). Which even with the amount of gapclosers in the game still screws your dps more than a 0.2 sec pushback on your cast : )

Most meeles have abilitys for range combat
And filler i would more say disarm is the range counter but not all range have it like meeles have interrupt

Also how hard is ot too stay on a SP

But idcare about range meele balance just if someone have exp with voidelf

Because they aren’t range clowns with precog and spamable cc.

Unless rogue of course. So lets nerf rogue cc!

Some don’t. Let us buff them!!

Too make this clear I DONT CARE about range meele balance its FINE

Pls i have 7 times only write about Void elf and cast push back, meele is just a side note joke

So VOID ELF enjoyer here ?

I play it and can say it’s definitely huge for caster, and the port is great too if you use it correctly.

I would say the biggest “good feeling” you get from velf is the way you dont need to take any spellcast delay into account. If something is being cast even if you have 20 ppl hitting you, you still get the cast like noone did.
The teleport is pretty decent and can be used both defensively and offensively. You can teleport → fear the healer for example even if you are targeted.

So if you feel annoyed by the spellcast delay and you do not have any issues with velf race, id say test it out and see how you feel!

Dont worry about ppl who try to make the post about something else.

Biggest down is too look like an elf and not a undead chad
And will of forsaken is not too bad consider that fear dont rly break on damage atm.

But the void elf racial looks so great on paper, i just never tried it

I mean yea, kinda why I said if you have no issues with the velf race in general then its worth a try… Atleast if you have the money for it, its expensive these days. xd

I got a velf priest and a nelf priest. I just tend to play both PvE and PvP and man, nelf priest in PvE is nice. But when I play it in PvP everytime I see the spellcast delay when being focused I sometimes wish I also geared up my velf for more enjoyment on that part xd (bgs mostly)

its insane when hunter pets hit you and your cast is delayed by 10 pets hitting u.i know the cast can only be delayed to a certain point but its still so dumb.you allready have to deal with a lot of interrupts as a caster.most caster are bad into melees so idk why thats a still a thing.the void elf racial used to be so nice before they nerfed it.the teleport thing from void elf used to be much better.it was the perfect caster racial ffor pvp against melees.but they nerfed it so its still nice but overall not as good as other races.

Velf is definitely nice for caster, especially for Warlock or Mage

The pushback issue happens the most with pets on you, specifically BM hunter pets

But its technically free cast speed into such, so it’s definitely good if you feel annoyed by pushback, would recommend

Yeah thats my Nr.1 point you finaly on stun Dr maybe one kick left witch you fake no grounding and so on and Finaly the next 10 15 sec you can freecast and then you have the spell delay that slow you down

plus on cc your on dr.interrupts can be chained and be full duration without any dr.

Also you can use velf racial to get out of root+beam

Aaaaaaaaand don´t forget you are getting this nicely blue effekt often while casting ^^. sooooooo beautiful .

The blue stuff got me

Update i have switched too void elf and its such a smooth gameplay feeling if your castbar is not flicking and zapping arround

Its maybe not for caster with a lot of insta, but as shadow where you are nr.1 target and have too hardcast quit a bit its insane

Thx all off you for yozr advices
