SpellQueueWindow

Hey. Had someone tried messing around with the SpellQueueWindow cvar?

For a long time i had this issue on my melee charakters, where i would press chaos strike or stormbolt, off gcd, the ability would be marked yellow in my interface bars, but would be casted with a small delay. I had a ping of 17ms.

So i found out about the SpellQueueWindow hidden option. For details heres an old video from xaryu.

TL:DR If you have a laggy behaviour with yout abilities, download advanced interface options and change the SpellQueueWindow from 400 to 100 + your ping, to around 120.

Yes, been messing with those settings since BfA.

Generally you want your latency on a bad day (by that I don’t mean when you got 200 ms, but let’s say your MS is generally 20 but sometimes during prime time it goes up to 24, so you take 24 in that case) +100 or +150, depending on preference. Test both to figure out which one suites you better. For me personally it’s +100.

Also make macros like this one for important abilities on gcd:

#showtooltip
/cqs
/cast Grounding Totem

This will make it so that if you already queued a spell, but the situation changes and demands w.e spell you put in that macro to go off first, it will cancel out the previously queued spell, as long as it didn’t go off yet and queue the new higher priority spell.

Best hidden setting in WoW!

I use the AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon just to set this

Cheers

Yes. I do since BFA. On a meele spec it can end up with 10-15% dps increase. On casters maybe besides Ele not so much.
