Spirit Beasts are wasted

There was a point in time where you could decide which “spec” your pet would be. I could make any pet have tanky abilities, any pet have dps abilities. I loved this, because it meant I could use the pet I view as the coolest in ANY situation I needed it.

The hours spent hunting Loque’nahak, Arcturis, Skoll etc were valued by allowing me to use them in all content.

However, this changed. Blizzard, you forced us to have specific specs per pet type. Which i completely understand. A turtle is more tanky than a tiger. But that choice completely ruined spirit beasts imo.

Every spirit beast being forced into a tank “spec” and not being a viable choice in certain content is super annoying.

I would happily give up a talent point to be able to change my pets spec. A simple solution that provides players a choice. And allows those who want to use a specific type of pet in any content and have it be viable.

I can see many ppl agreeing with you on this one. But wouldnt this just turn the pet into pure cosmetics? I dont think Id want that. Im just a casual so it doesnt matter what I think, but I want a pet to be unique rather than generic. I want more diversity.

this is actually very true XD i was pulling like 30 mobs on my pet in bfa and do top dps without dying ahaha

It would make pets more cosemetic-esque.

Even if it just changes for spirit beasts I feel most BM hunters would be happy.

whats the use in including a one of a kind skin, for it to only be useful in solo content?

Plus, the talent point idea would allow a cosmetic choice of this or that, giving everyone their own personal choice instead of one that’ll divide the base.
