We wiped on Azshara a lot, and i used /spit on her and died, that was a fun little thing for me.
It was removed some time ago.
Various changes have been made to the game since the scandal hit about staff misbehaviour.
does /shake still work?
when people started to spit on whoever bought the boost with mount included in tbc classic launch.
you can tough make (/me spits on you) and works the same.
i call this spit in aoe.

I didn’t play for ~2 years. Quit early december 2020 shortly after SL launched. Came back now to try DF. Seeing how they’ve gotten even more woke… I’ll probably not stick around for long this time around either.
/Spit was iconic and fun. It was basically the only emote I used.

yeah thats not really true at least not for me…
i got spat on alot after getting outnumbered and ganked over they years…
all the way from back in vanilla days…
it’s not a new thing… it was happening for as long as the game is old…
why they suddenly decided it’s unacceptable after the accusations hit… is a telling sign that they really don’t care and it was just a PR stunt.
and ofc that asmongold guy didnt help things… with his toxic attitude towards storemounts… (which i ironically fully agree with) …
truth is people are just too touchy these days … and bring their IRL insecurities into the video game world where they do not belong and the game suffers these changes because of that.
people should leave their insecurities at home.

Anyone remember 20 years ago cs:source where you could play sound clips ingame, like a movie bite soundboard with all the cool one liners like “I rip out your throat and shhh down your neck”, every word from N to F to C etc, and everyone was having a blast? Good times.

used to play those Wav’s over mic in half-life 1 as well… 
can remember meeting a girl on half-life… and i chased her around the map playing foxy lady over the mic…
i would probably get permabanned and arrested in modern wow for that.

Rule of business, don’t make your bigger spenders feel bad about buying things in the store. Spit started getting used en masse for that. In the beginning the store was seen as extremely unethical in a game you buy and pay monthly in. But all the business has to do is protect the spenders, wait it out till the outrageous becomes the new normal and now almost everyone buys from the store.

if anything all the egregious and obvious pushing people to support and protect the store players is what actually in effect stopped me using the store…
it can work both ways depending on your attitude towards it…
sadly i don’t think most people who do continue to buy from the store even bother to give it much thought… and the idea of being looked down upon is something which potentially fuels them to keep doing it…
they like to buy something then show it off just because they know how it upsets people…
which is ironic… because spit was removed for pretty much the same reasons… just the other side of the table.
they wont remove the store though like they did spit…
