Another alliance expansion? When was the last one? I don’t think a single one of them was. Maybe wrath could somehow pass as one, but that’s it.
Yet for horde expansion i can easily identify Cata, WoD, Shadowlands, BfA. Actually it was 2 Sylvanas expansions

Ah so Sylvanas isn’t horde and BfA and Shadowlands totally weren’t centered around her? Cata and mop did not feature Garrosh and Thrall as main characters. WoD certainly didn’t have any Orcs and the iron horde was a mirage.

800-1000 quests.
1 expansion-defining feature.
1-2 systems overhauls.
The theme? Does it honestly really matter? The ingredients are the likely the same anyway.
Avaloren? Seems like a safe bet, and a straight-forward production for Blizzard. I wish they’d do The Void and break the mold a bit, but I expect a run-of-the-mill expansion. Dragonflight 2.0.
I’m not overly optimistic, but I won’t mind being surprised. 
Sylvanas and Garrosh we’re villains and so was the Iron Horde. Everything else exception Cataclysm was alliance centered since all leaders connected to cosmic forces are part of the alliance. So stop lying.

there was nothing wrong with them being villains,
problem is they went way to soft with their actions.
there should have had been way more war , destruction and permanent changes to whole continents because of their actions.
unfortunetaly they choose easy way out and shot down those stories before they started for good.

we need a pro alliance expansion where every single part of it just flexes the alliance and the horde is never even seen in the story imagine the salt from Erevien

After doing the maghar orc questline I was hoping that they would come knocking on our door through the portal but they just disappeared. I was like “Oh damn, we’ll be screwed if they come for us next” but then they just stayed on AU draenor.
I was really hoping for some story with turalyon making some kind of deal with her due to his brainwashing by the naaru.
