Kind of one of my guesses as to the state of things with Sargeras’ stabbing into Silithus not being an act of defiance but desperation as he KNEW and tried to kill the corrupt void titan before it could emerge.
So…Sylvanas=Sora and Azeroth=Kairi?
Are Sylvanas and Azeroth dating now?
Azeroth is reffered to as her, Sylvanas confirmed as gay.
nathanos weeps in the corner
In retaliation to this, he declares himself an incel and rebells against Sylvanas, leading to Siege of Orgrimmar 2.0
And Sylvanas’s end game is to rez the dead Azeroth as Forsaken Azeroth?
But more seriously, your idea is fairly plausible.
Having heard from her soldiers that went to Argus how the Burning Legion used the Argus world soul to maintain their endless armies and rebirth all the demons, she plans to ressurect Azeroth world soul so she can do this for herself and the forsaken, truly sparing them the darkness that awaits in the afterlife for the undeads such as herself, by making them completly immortal.
A part of me actually hope for this. It would be quite nice if it turns out Sylvanas’s end game was eternal unlife for the forsaken - and thus herself. Her actions driven by fear of the eternal empty dark that is patiently waiting for her.
Keyword here is hope. Not actually believe.
It would fit her character better than “I allied with N’zoth cus lolz, gotta evil.”
It would. It could also provide what I think is the worst part of her writing in BfA: A lack of real motivation for her actions. But if she had this great end game plan - with this major reward - well, that would give her actions good motivation.
Yet I doubt Blizz will give us anything other than a quick make up on the “I do it because I’m ruthless and evil”-corpse.
Someone on Reddit made a huge post about a surprising number of parallells between WoWs story thus far and Bionicle lore. Y’know, the lore tied to a toy set that was far deeper than most people think. And it gives a potential idea of what the future could bring.
The tl;dr is that the ‘empty’ knife is used to house Azeroth’s spirit and the core of the planet gets replaced by an old god instead after the good guys get bamboozled. The knife gets YEET’d into space and we gotta go fetch it and try to put Azeroth back where she belongs.
That sounds actually pretty good.
Also. Bionicle. <3
I would be okay with that.
But then. Could we go in the possibility that Azeroth is already corrupted. Under N’zoth’s influence.
And the reason he desires the blade is to host Azeroth’s spirit. Corrupt it or something. And N’zoth become even stronger by “being” Azeroth, in a sense?
Bionicle lore and memes sustain me.
Teridax did nothing wrong. Fake news from the Great Spirit. He will be a great leader of the universe, maybe even the best.
Anyway: it’s certainly an idea.
Yeah the Bionicle theory was linked ITT earlier.
I wouldn’t mind it. Evil winning would definitely shake things up for a while.
Curiously enough, some of the so called “leaks” that were floating around last year before the expansion was released related to the World Soul being put into a “vessel” of some sort and lost in the Great Dark (ending up on K’aresh I believe) and we are tasked to retrieve the World Soul and strengthen it in order to purge the Old God infestation.
Going back to the prophetic whispers of Il’gynoth
“Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it.” Would make this very VERY fitting.
“At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming.” Sundering, Cataclysm and now the third catastrophe involving Azeroth would also hint to this.
Also it might link to Sylvanas (if you discredit some things along the way)
First death - Hands of Arthas, becoming a Banshee.
Second death - Her suicide at Icecrown, being sent to whatever hellish afterlife she was in.
Third death - at the player hand/or by her own miscalculations/tricked by N’Zoth and Xal’atath.
I am discounting the death by Godfrey’s bullet since she was effectively popped right back up at the cost of her Val’kyr (and Blizzard have some sketchy canonical status of the whole Silverpine/Gilneas storyline already to compound things worse).
Ah, I see you’re a man of culture as well.
Fun fact: the main villain’s name, Teridax, was named after the lead writer’s WoW main of the same name, after he began to expand more on who or what the Makuta was and decided Teridax was their true name, and the Makuta was the faction he used to be part of.
You just gonna hard ignore Alleria saying “It feels like I’ve died twice already” back in 7.3.5?
