Thatā€™s because the Gilnean horses are saddle less, the other ones arenā€™t, thus different models.

They added HD ā€œwildā€ horses in Kul Tiras using the same models as the Gilnean ones.

Give all vanilla rams that model, god hekinā€™ dammit!

JUST F*CKING LOOK AT IT!!!

Yeah! I love it!

Glad the dwarves are getting afancy new HD model too!

I would love for all vanilla mounts to have the same quality as their vicious counterparts :3

Someone on reddit posted their photoshopping of new skyboxes into the old world a while ago. I need it more than I need a new allied race.

THIS IS NOT FROM THE PTR FOR YOU FORUM SCROLLERS. ITā€™S A FAN EDIT

But whatā€™s the Point?

Who looks up into the f*cking sky?!

Anyone on a flying mount? Itā€™s not like you have to angle your camera far up if at all to see the skybox.

Nah Iā€™m looking at my other monitor at that point.

The new frostwolf is literally just a HD render of the old one. Donā€™t the current epic orc mounts have spiked collars? Honestly, if you donā€™t like the new one, thatā€™s fine, but if you like the old one, what changed.

The armor doesnā€™t have a border at the horns, the horns justā€¦ clip through

So do helmets on large eared races?

For me, itā€™s the clashing of themes.

The state of being Forsaken is acknowledged as a curse. Existing as one of the undead is an unpleasant experience, with many characters acknowledging it as a torment. The Forsaken are defined by their decision to continue existing in a world that despises them despite the suffering inflicted upon them by undeath. They are loathed and they loathe themselves but the only other option is oblivion.

Death knights have similar problems. Those that still exist accept that they exist as nothing more than sapient weapons that are now masterless. Any positive emotion is beyond them and their continued existence is as cursed, if not more cursed than that of the Forsaken.

Thereā€™s something appealing about playing individuals who are horribly flawed and forced to endure miserable existences caused by circumstances that are outside of their control, who struggle to make the best out of the hand that they have been dealt by fate.

Now letā€™s take a look at Calia.

Her undead existence is not a curse. It is not miserable. She was reanimated in a perfectly pleasant and serene fashion. Her mind is not damaged after being forcefully dragged back into the broken shell of her body by vile necromancy. Her body is not rotting or decaying in any shape or form, and she hasnā€™t had to resort to the darkest of magics in order to avoid that fate.

All of the negatives of undeath that the Forsaken must suffer, the struggle that makes the Forsaken compelling, are absent from Caliaā€™s character. Her undeath is not a curse, it is immortality without any negative side-effect other than the fact that she had to die once in order to achieve it.

ā€¦ And this is the character that claims that she now understands what itā€™s like to be Forsaken, and seeks to replace Sylvanas as their leader. This character that lacks every trait that makes the Forsaken who they are, the traits that draw Forsaken players to the Forsaken, is going to lead them.

Thatā€™s also a problem.

I donā€™t think she will, at least not alone; I reckon theyā€™re going to bring Derek back in after giving Sylvanas and Nathanos the boot, so they have a character to represent both the standard forsaken and the inevitable lightforged undead.

Derek and Calia belong as Forsaken leaders as much as Rommath belongs as NElf leader.

Even if heā€™d do a better job than Tyrande.

Because Rommath is always right.
