I don’t think it being 90% playable on the PTR is the same as it being datamined
Steve: War has an impact on every culture, that not only takes part in it, but suffers in the wake of these two great powers of Azeroth, brutally fighting each other for the last couple of years. We wanted to show that in a character driven way. So people can’t come out of a war like this, as bitter and vengeful as it was, and just go back to business as usual. We fully intend for the repercussions of Battle for Azeroth to echo through our characters, our cultures, our World for a long time to come. It’s going to take a while for people to come to terms with all the repercussions of this. Even though new threats are on the horizon, even though N’Zoth is coming for the world, even though the Shadowlands are out there, this war has a very personal impact on the world and we’ll see that echo through Azeroth throughout the years.
potentially neat
I guarantee it won’t be all that.
Can’t wait until that one is released! Really curious about how the Ebon Blade is doing!
Snorting ghoul dust, partying like its Before the Dark Portal.
I swear the lore team go into an air tight room and huff each others farts and that’s their planning process for writing the story.
“We’ll see the repurcussions of it for years to come”.
Watch as we spend the next 3 years focusing on another plane of existence and hear next to nothing about what’s going on in the world a la WoD.
How is it Shadowbringers can do a ‘we visit another world’ expansion yet still keep the story in the main world still relevant?
Their dojos, yes.
I dunno, they promised us a faction war expac and instead we got BfA. Maybe we’ll get an actual faction war expac in shadowlands lmao
It’s embarrassing how they keep peddling this. People are getting excited for Allied Race DKs, yet outside a cursorary intro and a pop in Archerus, I doubt it’ll be anything more than ‘you’re here, now go to Orgrimmar and have fun’!
It hurts when you’re a fan and you see so much potential for lore, like the refugees in Stormwind, be passed up.
Remember when Garrosh got dumpstered and Blizzard said i bet you cant guess who the warchief gon’ be.
And we all said Vol’jin.
And then they be like ahahah aurpeise! It’s vol’jin, told you you couldn’t guess!
That be how the blizzard do.
Maybe if they’d not published a tie-in novel all about him midway through the expac it would’ve been harder to guess.
Not much harder, mind you, but still.
Blizzard thinkin’ they Arthur Conan Doyle with their mysteries when really they be Mark Wahlberg after getting into another kilo of bolivian marching powder again.
What irks me the most is the lack of these undead knights having actual undead skin options. As someone who by far prefer the gaunt and corpse-like appearances for Death Knights, this is just terrible.
I’m aware that these are things that might be added at a later point in time, but I will be entirely honest here - the lack of DK skins for the allied races is what finally turned me off from pre-ordering Shadowlands. I’m getting it when it’s ready.
9.2 then?
It’s unfortunate but I will be wearing full-covering gear most of the time anyway, so I am not that perturbed. That we get them at all is what matters.
Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope.
I’d honestly rather have them well done or not at all. Allied races have generally been a slapdash job with sparse customisation options from the start, and this was an opportunity to improve on that - if only for one class. That the pandaren are also denied the undead options is just as bad.
Anyway this isn’t a pet peeve thread, so I’ll scamper down from my soapbox now.
Absolutely not. Hells no to that. I have wanted pandaren DKs for years. Not getting special customisation is unlucky, but it’s definitely way better than nothing.
Why?
So you can MUNCH MY BLOOD YOU FLOOFY BLOODBAG!? D’:
Then I’m happy for you. No sarcasm.
Because I love RPing pandaren and this is one more class for them for even more variety, which is even better because DK is my favourite class.
They also look awesome in plate.
