Literally the expansion after Shadowlands… Lets call it the South Sea expansion since they failed to deliver both that and a Faction War, Naga, Old God expansion with the current one
As she freaking should be, she and she alone won Darkshore “for the Alliance”. Sure she had backup from the Gilneans, but she also suppported the Allianc on its random & useless suicide mission, had enough of her army to spare to invade Nazmir and fight for and eventuallt retake Darkshore despite what this "wise-beyond-years "High-“king” told her.
In the end:she gave more to the Alliance, once again, then they gave to her and her people.
I haven’t looked into the patch too much as a whole, due to wanting to experience the new stuff for myself without being spoiled to the max, however I’ve seen what happens to N’Zoth though which is saddening and kind of expected.
So, am I correct in saying that essentially the new raid is just Dragon Soul + MoP cloak 2.0?
Like they could’ve given us an entire expansion around N’Zoth and Ny’alotha… but no, such potential was taken from us.
I mean at least we get to see Ny’alotha after its been hyped up since Cataclysm, but to turn it into a lousy raid tier?
I think the way Ny’alotha is handled is exceptionally disappointing. It being just a raid is already bad enough. But I feel like this proves Blizzard themselves didn’t know what exactly Ny’alotha is until they made this raid. All those clues and mysteries and it’s just in some random unidentified alternate reality thing. No ties to any existing lore. What does this say about the Black Empire of old? How it came to be, what kind of existence it was and how it was dismantled by the Titans? More lore made a mess out of…
From a fully powered and released Old God, of which realistically we would have no chance of beating since both Horde and Alliance would, again, in a realistic setting be completely EXHAUSTED at this point. We’ve had numerous wars, plagues and even a super large natural disaster and climate change in the form of Cataclysm.
Just HOW are we in any shape to deal with an Old God and full invasion of Black Empire forces?
Magni is pretty much a meme, so don’t even get me started on that. Sure Azerite is powerful but it’s just designed by Blizzard in a way to provide us to keep doing content so we don’t log out. But I guess it’s also as powerful as the Dragon Soul so we can laser beam N’Zoth to death.
Oh, and then in the next expansion it’s just lol Shadowlands and lol here’s Bolvar, sure missed him huh chumps?
I always like to imagine how the rise of the black empire could have been a great expansion.
After the war and fueled by the blood and misery of the war between the Horde and Alliance, the old gods get set free and boom. Your city is gone now.
Alliance and Horde lost. Stormwind and Orgrimmar are overtaken. Permanently. Both factions are absolutely demolished in numbers and -have- to work together. With of course the whole internal conflict still happening. Zones are overtaken by the void and people can join them or not. Would be pretty cool for roleplay too since some zones would not be “current content” where all the refugees could go to from Stormwind. Horde and Alliance are disbanded. The only group remaining is the rebels. And the other faction is the void. You can join both as a player and get a new hub and everything. All races can join either faction and you get different WQ’s and stuff.
Speaking of different WQ’s… Personalized world quests depending on your race and class. Aswell as the faction you chose.
Things could be great. If the gaming industry wasn’t such a mess of greed.
No 8.3.5 confirmed, though it’s not too surprising. https://www.millenium.us.org/guide/10782.html
Q: Horrific Visions remind us of Torghast from Shadowlands in the way it has been described, but only a few rewards have been introduced on the PTR so far. Are more rewards planned for release, even in a hypothetical 8.3.5?
A: First of all, just to get it out of the way, we currently don’t have any 8.3.5 plans — there may be some small systems tweaks or updates for stability between now and Shadowlands, but Visions of N’Zoth is really the concluding chapter of Battle for Azeroth , and we’re excited to focus our attention on Shadowlands and the upcoming beta for Shadowlands that’ll be opening up over the course of the year.
I was being facetious.
All and all, my skepticism just boils down to previous dissapointments and non-delivery, the timespan they still got and other minor factors.
As usual, I only ask to be proven wrong and I’ll be first to say “I’m happy I was wrong.” I don’t think race customization will be something that won’t be delivered, albeit a little mixed since WoD didn’t had Belf and Draenei option during release, BfA trickled down those race updates and releases over time.
