Have yall noticed how many adds get blocked on WoWhead?
Sometimes when i leave the window open while playing, it racks up to 5000 blocks.

Speaking of adds, im glad the game (WoW) isnt pay to win.

What do am curious of, is when the token will cost more gold though. i remember at a stage it was like at 340-350k gold? yeah.

That was during Legion mission table gold inflation.

Fun fact: before using ad block for wowhead my wow would crash after some time when wowhead was open at the same time, because the memory was full.

Actually you can go pay2win due to wow token introduced in game.

WoWhead is actually really, really, really bad with their ads.
They don’t care though.

Yeah, one time they even infected people with a nasty virus from a malicious ad. Was a keylogger if I remember right. They didn’t do it on purpose but it’s still bad.

i remember watching a review of this “game” once.

i was wondering, uh why is this footage on repeat?
then i noticed that the combat counter was actually advancing forward.
Yep, that is the game. If you think wow grinds are repetitive, think again.

Yeah, present wowhead with it’s advertisement marketing for it’s company. Has turned into what i basically see when i go on wow reddit. Ad ad ad ad ad and another ad.

And i noticed this started happening when they began having social media.

Who would’ve known… :rage:

I don’t mind WoWHead’s ads at the end of the day as much as they slow down my browser. They’re giving tons of quality information without needing to pay for it. :+1: Keep it up!

Oh yeah the amount of adds on wowhead is the reason why I haven’t whitelisted it for adblock. They realy slow the website down.

Token price is heavily influenced by three factors :

  • The average player ability to earn gold (Both Legion and WoD had crazy gold missions which earned millions to those who abused them, compared to BFA which tried to instead negate part of that inflation it’s obvious the price would drop)
  • The in game activity : The more players are active and the more valuable gold is, (needed for conso, boe, boosts or whatever you may want to buy) the higher the price. You can see the token spike at every major release in BFA and drop over the course of the patch.
  • The shop. Everytime a new game is released or everytime there’s a sale on services, items or games, the price will increase as rich players will want to buy stuff with tokens. Especially noticeable with Classic as a bunch of old players just wasted their retail gold to buy their Classic sub.

Now (by that I mean late 8.3 before the prepatch, not today in particular) should be one of the best time to buy tokens with gold as it’s at its lowest point. Should easily go back to +200k with the prepatch or SL release in late 2020.

If SL introduce some easy gold methods like the Legion gold missions then it’ll most likely spike even higher, but it also means a massive inflation and your gold being worth less than it currently is in BFA

Yeah the beta reignited some interest, although I doubt it’ll stay high the closer we get to September~october.

I think people buying tokens for robo-drake ,that was moment when price started raising.

The token will most likely rise in price when the next Blizzcon tickets go on sale (higher demand = Higher price)

You may have noticed that recently the token price has gone from approx 170k to just over 180k, this has coincided with the free mount for a 6 month sub offer. Spooky eh ?

I said 'next Blizzcon, I made no mention of when it would be.

Not everyone knows that (or knew that) there’s been a thread or 2 on these forums from people complaining that they’ve bought 6 months gametime with tokens but didn’t get a mount, so those tokens where already bought and contributed to the demand.

Your post is 100% factually correct and contains information I’m already aware of, but thank you for reminding me.

Thats their problem for not being able to read or attempting to bypass the requirements to get the mount for free.
