Sporeggar is painfully quiet, but I just cannot let go!

I joined this server to get a taste of RP. I transferred from Bladefist when I was Lvl 20ish (back then levelling was so slow that I felt I had been playing a while).

I found myself meeting some BElves in the starting zone giving out quests to ‘earn’ a place in the guild. Quests like 'bring us 10 mana wyrm shards". They were grey items at the time but it felt important.

The guild was Falthrien Academy.

To be promoted you had to kill Luzran and Knucklerot solo and witnessed by another guild member.

This meant you could invite guild members and had to spend time recruiting newby elves in the same, quest giving, nature.

I wasn’t an RPer but I purposely used the Silver moon AH to check out the conversations going round the Square. RP made the server feel alive and it was good seeing the same names in /1 and being told off for using the wrong channel or having a non-RP name.

I eventually became the GM due to player attrition and there were less and less people in the Elf Starting zone so we had to open our doors to other races.

The guild died as the server pop crashed and I have hopped in and out of guilds since. All promising to be a social guild and never really delivering - like how the morning commute may have a load of people sitting in the same carriage yet no one talks.

I made some life long friends who are back into classic, bit I’ll wait to find out if there will be a BC expac before I consider moving over.

Now the world is quiet - even those on other realms just make the silence a little more jarring.

I want to believe there is still a large group of social players in the realm… I’m looking for that inclusion!
