Do all members of a raid need resistance gear for those raids? As a retri paladin do i need any res gear?

for SSC you will need 2 tanks with resistance gear (1 with frost, and 1 with nature), and a warlock with fire res gear.
for TK you shouldn’t need any resistance gear on anyone, unless you’re going with a boomer strat for Solarian
As retri you don’t need any resistance gear at all

We tried solarian without arcane res, wiped maybe 6 times and called it a night. Came next week with 2 tanks in ~400 arcane res soaking the debuff and oneshot it with 0 deaths.

And we have been one-shotting it without arcane res and with a maximum of 2 people dying for 2 weeks in a row, so?

Youre getting carried by your healers, congratulations.
Its recommended to have 100 unbuffed arcane resistance on everyone for solarian. Thats 1-2 items with a Violet Badge.

So that a person asking whether they need any resistance at all will be much better served to do it the easier way and gear two tanks in arcane res. Obviously.

They already are, I provided the op with the best explanation. The much easier way is to not waste time and dps on equiping useless gear that you don’t even need.

I did not say to equip arcane res on the raid. Just the two tanks that aren’t tanking the ads/void form. The dps loss is negligible, as is gold cost, and it trivializes the encounter.
