There is a chance your SSD may be limited to like 50MB/s write speed because its set to conserve power by some rogue windows update - dont have KB number atm. Read speed is mostly unaffected.
Two pieces of software needed
1. Crystal Disk Mark
2. Crystal Disk Info
https://crystalmark.info/en/software/
Check sequential write speed with disk mark.
If its low like 50mb/s:.
1. Start Disk Info
2. Go to Function menu->Advanced feature->AAM/APM control and make sure APM slider is set to max right position with value "FEh"
3. Click enable
4. Done - now disk works with manufacturer declared write speed

Found a cause of this. Starting windows maintenance manually sets lower APM value and reduces write speed
edit: the setting seems to change also when starting windows in safe mode to use DDU

no, just gimping drive performance greatly for tasks like installing stuff and rebooting/powering down
it was fixed in Intel RST driver 16.7.0.1009
