This is beyond ridiculous. I was in Nazjatar in 4AM and there were 30 multibox dudus. And yeah, multibox is botting. Its 1 active account with 9 accounts that take commands from macros. If that aint botting, then I could simply record some macros of my own and let it go
No,its the only 3rd party software blizzard allows you to use.
You control 1 character, the other accounts get the command from the first one.
But you will get banned using teamviewer because its a 3rd party software that doesnt give blizzard money. Neither steals our resources AKA make blizzard more money.
One of reasons why I would love to see addons banned~
They design raids around DBM so sadly it will never happen.
Blizzard love their addons, as theyâd have to implement stuff and fix more stuff if we werenât able to use addons xD
Raid system was already changed few times.
Not to mention that they can implement DBM as core in-game WoW system without need of addons if its so ânecessaryâ.
And thats why Im gonna keep flooding them with reports for all the bots with all my alts. If every multibotter has 9 bot accounts and I report them with my main and 14 alts, they are gonna have 15x9=145 reports per multibot. I hope they have fun with my very own edition of âmultiboxingâ
That is actually completely different.
Just, nope. It is not.
Blizzard once may have been a company we can hope for such things from.
But thereâs no way modern WoW would invest money into something theyâre currently getting for free from the playerbase.
Addons do give us all a level of creatitivity and I wouldnât realistically say they are a negative impact.
Multi boxing has existed since WoW vanilla, it has never been against ToS realistically.
Third party programmes are bannable if they are doing something while you arenât at the screen, multiboxing is techniqually not this as it still demands you at the screen. It just works as a macro to replicate the abilities across the other characters.
The fact we can customise our UIs to fit how we want, use addons to be able to see rare spawns, coordinates and additional things throughout the game to personalise your screen in the ways you want to outweigh the the negatives of multiboxing realistically.
A majority shouldnât be punished for the minorities behaviour.
You mean other than the things that are currently only available as addons, controller assist etc., that they are implementing in SL?
Come on I know Blizz arenât exactly covering themselves in glory in some of the metrics they push out in the game, or even this expansion, but this is just showing ignorance.
Controller intergration is very different
To blizzard themselves testing every boss and writing every strat to every raid they ever release. To then debug and manage it continously.
Over time upholding DBM themselves would consume more time then the implementation of controllers.
Trying to say adding controller access (which is expected from a modern day game) Is close to the idea that blizzard are gonna maintain their entire addon access internally. Is ludicrous
There is no real reason for blizzard to take over the entire addon list.
Your telling me u think theyâre gonna uphold
The UI redesigns.
Bag management addons.
Quest trackers.
Coordinate addons.
Rare trackers.
Chest trackers.
DBM
Dps meters.
Weak auras
And more.
For the sake of kicking multi boxers out of WoW after allowing it for 15 odd years?
If you just look at the quantity of addons a lot of WoW players depend on in WoW, itâs huge.
We will either lose content in trade of them doing this.
Or lose a level of customisation to our game.
Both are unacceptable.
If youâre going to create yet another thread about this, I think youâll find some others exist already, at least get youâre facts right otherwise your limp will become quite cumbersome - itâs not particularly useful to shoot yourself in the foot!
edit: massively off topic and deleted
Addons improve a lot of things, from UI to gameplay (Total RolePlay 3 for example), so yea keep dreaming.
Also @OP, botting is when an AI do the job without human/manual input. Multiboxing uses 3rd party software from a whitelist given by Blizzard themselves + macros (the softwares arenât mandatory but do help a lot). As you may know it requires actual actions from a human to work.
Before complaining about something try to understand how it works first to not look ignorant on the subject and meaning of words.
Even so with knowing all of that it is a known fact that most multiboxers not all of them ruin the economy of the game they create massive inflationâs and disrupt players farming.
Not gonna lie some of them are quite crazy with a whole army.
I just work on a dualbox, too poor for this but I find a team of 2 interesting.
Itâs there to stay anyway as it doesnât break terms put by Blizz, has been years after years accepted and give extra cash to Blizzard.
Itâs like complaining about Blizzard catering to the chinese market. You can scream but it wonât pay Blizzardâs bills.
Yea some of them are crazy with the amount they box but still I wish they would be more considerate towards us average players and not steal our nodes and herbs and inflate the economy also I am talking from experience when I was leveling my Horde mage and I was trying to do some herbing a 5 man tauren druid group with flying mounts all on follow kept stealing my herbs like they were stalking me that is what I hate.
Its not an addon, its software.
A program in your PC.

And thats why Im gonna keep flooding them with reports for all the bots with all my alts.
ahahaha!!
Nicely done my friend, nicely done!!!

No,its the only 3rd party software blizzard allows you to use.
Seems like an easy fix.
Multiboxing has nothing to do with Blizzard TOS.Actual customer rights allows for multiboxing.
Only solution is personalized nodes.

They design raids around DBM so sadly it will never happen.
sadly true
