What is even the poit to having heirlooms these days?
Only rested bonus grants more bonus xp…
the starts are worse than regular gear…

Yes, i think that they should refund gold to the players and to simply delete that giant pile of mess known as heirlooms.

You can equip a full set including rings and trinkets etc. Don’t think the starter set is complete (didn’t used to be).
Also you can enchant them which makes them pretty good up to around level 30 - 35.
Saves having to replace your gear.
This is barely worth the pixels to mention.
I used up all my rested xp in an afternoon sesh. Fine for an alt you take out, dust off and play once every two weeks.
Heirlooms are ok up until around level 40. Put some enchants on them and they do make you feel pretty strong until then. I haven’t upgraded mine past Legion level, so around 45. Not worth the expense and it is very expensive. Not sure I’d bother with them though if I hadn’t already bought and upgraded them back then as the expense to buy and upgrade to 40ish would still be quite a lot.
I personally would not like them to go for this option. Heirlooms are near the same power level as drops from dungeons (slighty below in lvl, by like 1 or 2) but they have the advantage of being able to enchant them, which stays in level with you up until the point you reach the level of the current expansion.
They can also be transmogged, which is also a big plus.
What they should do is to finish the set, so we do not have to run around like clowns with like 4-5 pieces of our gear changing every single time we go into a dungeon.
It would also be nice if the dungeon drops can be traded, while we’re at it. Unless I need it for transmog I would much rather give it away to a player who does not have heirlooms.
The set bonuses are pretty garbage, but then, I do not think that they can make them meaningful in any way to not make the playerbase feel they are forced to invest in them to level.
It is nice not being forced to rely on RNG for your loot drops during leveling, you know? I’d feel terrible having to go to the AH every 10 levels and spend gold just to keep some pieces of my gear up to level (especially weapons).
I don’t think that they will make full set of heirlooms as that would lover demand for low lvl boe’s even more. And yes people are buying green boe’s.
I do not think they would. Currently the demand for them is really low (I know, because I was trying to sell some of those and was stuck with them for months) and their only real purpose right now is to buy them for mog.
As long as leveling is as fast and easy as it is there is little other reason for the existence of these boes for anything other than transmog, and we have the rest of the heirloom pieces already there dropping the worth of pieces for those slots already.
Those who buy boes will still continue to do so, what you lose are those players who are willing to further invest into heirlooms, and seeing how useless people consider heirlooms to be, the market will not drop by too much in my opinion.
This is just a dream, I know, but if we have to make a choice between them deleted or Blizzard double down and finish the set, I much rather they opt for the latter.
I find it hard to constantly find gear equal with intellect, agility or strength than the heirlooms
Don’t forget that you can enchant the gear that never will disappear either, fully enchanted gear makes a different
Besides for those who does battlegrounds to get honor it becomes even more obvious heirlooms is better
I just use mine so I can transmog my gear just once while leveling.

It is probably better over not having any item in half your gearslots. And they scale with your level so you do not need to get a lot of loot fulltime like without having them.
Heirloom is just a gold sink for completionists so people buy more WoW tokens.
I never had to buy gold in order to upgrade or buy my heirlooms and they were worth it purely for the XP gain. Now that they nerfed all that I really don’t care for them. I haven’t bothered to upgrade any since the change.
The worst feature is the explode when you ding, nine times out of ten you are handing in quests when that happens. It’s of no benefit at all.
