Starting areas with other races

Hello! I can’t find a definitive answer so i just thought to ask. A friend wants to get back on wow after a long time so we are going to create new characters. I’m going Draenei and he gnome, if i go to Dun Morogh at lv1, can i take the quests there? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can, but it’s going to take you a while to get there.

You can do the Gnome, Dwarf, Human, Nightelf and Spacegoat starter areas on any Alliance race, Orc, Troll, Tauren, Forsaken and Bloodelf for the Horde races.

There are some quests in the starter zones that are race specific but you can still do most of them.
