WHY ??? BfA Horde experience has been one of the worst levelling experiences I have ever had. Why put new players trough this monstrosity.
Its so they can be up to date with the story - as a new player they won’t think its poor as they have nothing to compare it to
I guess because BfA and Shadowlands are two halves of a single story?
I might be a bit sceptical, but I have hard time to understand even the 1st half of the story…
Point taken.
But considering how ‘well’ BfA’s story has been received it is very hard time to ‘sell’ it to new players in my opinion "hey want to play with friends, 1st level trough this … confusing zuldazar, empty Voldun, and ‘run around that tree’ nazmir.
Alliance luckily has only 1 horrible zone. OK one and half.
Oh well, that’s just my view and I find it unfair to put new players trough worst levelling content.
Having leveled quickly through all content without paying much attention to story, there’s a lot in BfA that doesn’t make much sense.
Now that I think about it, I’m not sure it’s storyline related. Maybe Shadowlands will have exactly the same class design, exactly the same map style, same character models for main NPCs etc. So in sense of “look and feel” BfA will dovetail into Shadowlands and play like a single expack. Possibly?
I guess. BfA has the best tuned scaling, has linear zone stories and is not ‘out dated’ like Legion, or any of the previous expansions. The zone stories are not ‘major’ world changing stories, they are plots of the local people and it likely works best. And are easy to follow in given zone. It is the meta-story that is confusing as heck, especially when half story is ‘hidden’ if you play only one side.
So I can see why they do it. But part of me feels that … it’s just weakest expansion to date what comes to gaining levels. Only zone that, in my opinion, works ideal is Drustvar.
It is not 1st time Blizzard messes up horde zones (in my opinion). In WoD also the Horde leveling in start vs. Alliance levelling was just so different feel. here I mean map, how quests made you move and hub layouts rather than plot.
But of course it just maybe me and some Horde players would disagree heavily and say that they have never had as much fun in levelling as they have now. Quite possible.
Level 1-120 are all the same boring and repetitive quests, wdym.
1-15 is a genuine 1 1/2 hour long chore to unlock LFD
Agreed. 1-15 is the most painful part of the leveling equation. Once dungeons are unlocked, it’s kind of fine doing them to level up.
I read that leveling in shadowlands will be 70% faster. Is that true?
Apparently its gonna be 50-70% faster to smth
Changes to Death Knight, Demon Hunters, and Allied Races in Shadowlands
In BfA and previous expansions, the hero classes Death Knights and Demon Hunters began at advanced levels of 55 and 98 respectively. In Shadowlands, Death Knights and Demon Hunters will start at level 1 with everyone else.
Allied Races will begin at level 10 instead of level 20 and will have their choice to go to any of the 8 existing expansions. They will not be able to visit Exile’s Reach.
I see many have told you already
Really??
Won’t they lose boost money from the store?
They can make it cheaper! Just need to apply same 60-70% discount.
Doesn’t sound like something they would do… they still haven’t sorted out the players stuck on low pop realms yet.
