Stat prio resto druid

Hey guys,

so i am a little bit confused. I was looking at the stat prio for resto druid and i noticed that a lot of people agreed on the below stats. For as long as i remember Mastery was our best stat so i am a little confused why haste overtook it and why it has the same weight as vers taking into account that mastery benefits from multiple dots on a char while vers is only a flat increase.

Mastery

Mastery does nothing for your damage, haste contributes noticably. Therefore, in keys, haste > mastery. In keys, as long as you can keep your party alive, damage is more useful than any extra healing, really.

Raids are a tad different, your damage there matters much less, and there’s much more people you can heal, so mastery becomes a whole lot more useful.

For PvP it’s Versa and Haste and a bit of Mastery (1-2 items to get around 5-8%). Versa is simply too good atm, with the extra 40% scaling you get from the trinket set bonus it’s free real estate.
Can’t speak for PvE, not playing it more than I’m forced to.

Where did you get those random (and in the case if leech also wrong) stat weights from? Generally (for pve), haste is a bit better than the rest but you should only focus on item level and generally dont give a sh*t about stats at all.

alright I get the dmg side of haste overtaking mastery, but the other weights don’t make sense to me. also I do understand the PVP part but i was leaning more for the PVE ( my mistake I didn’t mention that). Multiple guides but the link i still hve is questionablyepic .com its a website that sims gear for healers.

If the weights come from qe live and you used your own char and preferably you own log, those stats should be fine (though qe live doesnt offer stat weights, does it?)
Generally Go for haste > crit/vers/mastery for raids and haste > crit/vers > mastery for dmg in dungeons (or more mastery for healing) but focus on ilvl over all
If you already know qe live: don’t use stat weights, if you’re unsure, sim an item using qe.

Haste is strong as it (1) adds additional hot ticks and (2) shortens our gcd, allowing more casts

I’ve gone haste/crit this tier and it feels good! I’m keeping mastery at 10%. I’m running 17’s and they feel fine! Healing isn’t the issue it’s damage output at higher keys!

I got around 32% haste → 11% mastery → 10% crit → 9% versa… i do +20 Keys and Im doing fine with the healing. My dps is low, But my healing is fire

those stat weights that you posted are completely wrong, there is no chance leech is your lowest stat weight.

But as to the stat question, mastery is the strongest stat by far for healing in keys but it contributes nothing to dps so you want a good mix of haste and mastery. As for raids you just get as much haste as possible.

Remember however that at the end of the day int is the strongest stat, it will never be worth it to lose ilvl for whatever stat.
