Stat Squish in Midnight

Last I remember, FF14 players hated the idea of getting into low level dungeon, like Copperbell since they lose majority of their abilities.

But I wouldn’t be against idea of having optional scaling. Overall idea of Chromie Time being locked away from you as soon as you hit level 70 always annoyed me, especially since fully completing Dragonflight campaign gets you around level 75.

Currently doing Northrend quests on my level 80 Paladin, and some of them have been quite broken in fact since enemies are so far below in level (capped at 30). One quest even wanted me to deal with flying enemy, but since there’s 50 levels between us, he simply refused to engage until I found some magical spot that allowed me to reach him by chance.

Exile’s Reach on beta is quite bad currently due to the squish with every mob now seemingly a hit point sponge. I dread to think what they’ve done to the devilsaur fight with Maximillian of Northshire. It took me 30+ minutes to kill it after the level squish…

I kinda expect not able to solo legacies after the squishing.

Still a net win for me personally - Im sick of watching those big numbers trying to hype me up

Those feel cheap

Funnily enough if you do that quest now on max level character, you only need one small rock, as the Devilsaur Queen gets oneshot due to absurd scaling.

Sadly the devs wont see any forum treads. Ion told them not to go in here since they wouldnt be to sleep if they dared.

They getting told they are the bestest in the world by somekind of AI generated email each morning and the real truth would break them.

I’d prefer that over the neverending nightmare that it was when scaling broke it. :slightly_smiling_face:

They should really have scaled it differently since it’s technically a vehicle section. Throw all of Max’s armour, and then one or two rocks at most. Or it just dies from his underpants or whatever the last piece of clothing he hands you to throw.
