So I tried out the new stat squish result in Midnight beta.
I went to Ruby Life pools Mythic and killed the first elite.
On Retail, I kill it within seconds, and take no damage.
On Beta, It takes up to two minutes, and I get close to dying several times.
This is done as a Balance druid in ilvl 710 in TWW.
I’m extremely worried, as usual, for every stat squish that comes, and it does not seem to be any different this time either….
Again, we face the issue with old content that is currently easy –> becoming harder/annoying/even impossible (I am sure I can no longer solo the DF raid for example in midnight).
I’ve heard very little about this stat squish this time around, so I just wanted to bring it to attention to everyone of the current status and test I did.
Shouldnt df content be classed as legacy once midnight releases so maybe multiplier will be in effect. Also you have beta and are tedting old content? you realise theres beta forums right
DF already is a legacy content which you have been overgrown long ago, in midnight it became a part of actual dungeon pool so it’s again have a proper hardness of enemies inside that you had during dragonflight. Why did you expected that becaming a part of midnidght s1 it would be oneshootable?
Easily google’able, nr 1 search hit in WoWhead.
So Ruby Life Pools is not one of them.
It’s “one-shottable” right now in TWW, so I expect it to continue to be until it’s relevant again, unless we have a third mess-up of the Stat Squish shenanigans.
This has happened every time they have squished, and I just wish they learned from it, and I posted here so everyone - not only beta-people - are aware of the situation.
All clear in my first post, I think.
This is most likely the one and only reply I will do to this thread, as my intention was to spread the awarness of the - once again - squish issue.
Not to argue, or get into a discussion.
stupid take over scaling bosses in old raids to the point their no longer solo able is not keeping the content relevant it would be relevant if it dropped current xpac gear but a raid 20 lv below you should be easy game for t-mog runs not a slog.
It’d just seem a tad odd to suddenly have old raid that you’ve been farming for transmog to out of nowhere require full group.
Would be quite slap in the face, especially for those who hadn’t already finished farming their collection from there. “Didn’t get your Midnight from Karazhan by now? Well screw you, I guess.”
They will on hc and mythic difficulty as since TWW they put current m+ tier into hc, if you missed that by some reason https://i.postimg.cc/NGpyTQ5B/Znimok-ekrana-2025-11-17-170833.jpg
Ah I was sleepy and missed that it’s another dungeon, nvm it’s still just means that it’s leveling scale making you undergeared for current(almost midnight s1 on beta) season and all past expansions equalized for leveling experience, shouldn’t be a problem as soon as you will get 240 or whatever ilvl there will be for heroic track items. I’ve just tried mythic RLP with my 211 guardian and switched to boomie - yea, they have a lot of health that making them not oneshootable but they are doing close to zero dmg
Actually, you are right. It was not like that with legacy m+ dungeons in past.
However it only affects dungeons which are in current pool. If you are to go to the Sanguine depths for an example, you will see that it has not been scaled up.
Yea I checked that already, should be fine on 90 level with some decent gear, and anyway that’s still a beta where not all rules applied so might work not as intended there but on retail it will be correct
I mean, I can see that. But personally I wish Blizzard would pull a Final Fantasy 14 and make all old content relevant for leveling and co. So that new players can actually (optionally) enjoy things “as they were back then” in case of difficulty scaling by choice.
