I just want to clarify first, this wasn’t my original post, just think it needs attention.
The original post on Reddit has since “vanished” and there was a big thread about this also on the US forums that has also “vanished”…Take that how you will.
People got mass banned for griefing in M+ just recently, but it feels as if griefing in PVP is fine and being brushed under the carpet.
I’m not a pvp player but it seems absolutly crazy to me that this is happening and allowed, I really do feel for fellow pvp players having their fun ruined like this.
I don’t know enough about addons in-depth to comment so I’ll just take your word for it, but the fact they’re allowed to intentionally grief bg’s is crazy to me, and that blizzard seem to be trying to hide this!
They banned people for griefing a pve type of content, but seem to be hiding away from the same thing happening to a pvp type of content and hoping it’ll disappear with people forgetting.
All they had to do was reply saying something corporate like “We’re aware and looking into this”, but instead they deleted everything they could.
Yeah i think thats some of this things which are kind of a gray area until someone went totally overboard with it and blizz never thought it would reach that point.
Kinda its allowed but it went to a degree where its absolutely not understandable how that can be allowed and they need to change the tos for that.
Maybe how multiboxing with software support was okish and got changed to multiboxing by manually clicking all clients is fine but program usage is not fine anymore.
They need to change the tos or make an official statement like grouping as five into an epic bg is kinda ok but leveraging the API to queue sync 40 is a nono.
It may be not an option to break the addon API for that because its highly possible that they use things which are used for other addons and or the default ui.
Edit: Isnt there a new bannable offense for leaving too many m+ runs? That could be implemented as a rule for all types of group content. Like leaving sometimes for whatever reason is fine. Dodging tens of queues in one hour is not.

With hundreds of replies and no action from blizzard . Hell we have the queue sinkers come on the forum bash and report people who call them out …
I personally stopped playing Epic battlegrounds in DF , because it is pointless . If you queue solo you are matched 90% of the time vs premade , hell most of the time VS the same people . I know them by names . Everyone knows them . You sit in queue for 30 minutes , enter and see ABC , ABC2 , ABC3 and you see how everyone starts leaving . You stay and get farmed into the graveyard , or you leave and eat 30 minute deserter .
Worst part is they do it for Rated Blitz too .
What do you think are those 15 queue pops , that get declined one after another . They do it in the night when there is least people so they can boost each other .
I almost miss the time in Pandaria /Wod when I would enter a 10 vs 10 bg in 5 AM and be put in a team with 9 bots , vs a team with 10 bots . At least than you could win .
And let’s not get started on focus addons that focus the same player , rotation addons that play the game for you , kickbots that autokick spells on 0.001 sek , notification add-ons that show what abilities and cds the other player is using , and tell you how to react .
PvP has been a cesspool for years and the PvP forums are testament to that .
Some of those games were actually fun, weirdly. Could grab the flag as the only human on my team then run towards the pack of bots on my team and they would literally mutilate anything that came close.
Only addons I really need is some nameplates cause defaults in game are bad, same for arena frames cause default game dont show diminishing returns for cc anywhere and default arena frame is also bad and looks like classic party frame.
I could easily see a lot limit on api and people unable to use bots or scripts or overly rely on wa’s telling them what to do and so on. Think it would be even better, at this point its boring when everyone just pressed button the exact second some wa announces them to trade for your cd and so on. If they dont self see that they are in danger then its wa playing the game for them imo if some wa tells it to them to press button.
At this point pvp has become resemble some chuckling he is in danger but wa’s and addons announce him to press buttons so he can become immune to danger for while. Needless to say it removes a lot of skill and individuals own thought process from the gameplay.
epic bg used to be so fun in the past .blitz bg i have seen most queues get declined at end .do they use some addon to check who is getting on which team ? as 14 out of 15 queues get decline at either 14 or 15 participants

or addons for looting faster like speedy Auto loot.

all of them should get removed.
It is a sort of downwards spiral, as the more Epic BGs are unenjoyable, the less people play them and as a result there are less games and you are more likely to come across one of the three (or so) synced premades.
Some of them even actively avoid other premades, because synced premade vs synced premade games are mostly long turtle games where the premade that loses the mid fight starts “defending”.
There are solutions to these issues, Blizzard could:
give people a short debuff for declining the queue that would prevent people from signing up again.
mix the factions in Epic BGs. As much as I dislike removing faction identity, it would make it a lot more difficult to get the whole community on the same team.
Currently your options for Epic BGs are either playing at a time when these people don’t sync, avoid Epic BGs, or join one of these communities. Or you can, of course, play against them if you are a masochist.
I never understood why they left out the normal penalty for not accepting ones que into soloqs like shuffle and blitz. Even nonrated skirmish you get cumulative debuff as penalty preventing que again and for arenas and rbg you lose rating and mmr for not accepting the game one were matched in.
