State of WoW PvP (BG's)

Lmao, it’s literally battleground maps with an improved rueleset, better balance, the queue says solo battlegrounds and it’s rated.

they do all the time?

No one claimed whether the mode is solo friendly or not. The only one constantly dodging facts and trying to present their own opinions as truth seems to be you. From what you have written, I understand that you play battlegrounds with premade groups, which is totally fine, but I hope you will eventually realize that commenting on the situation with blinders on helps no one, especially when the game’s PvP community is shrinking more and more every day.

Also, unless you are playing below 2k rating, things are not nearly as simple for solo battleground players as you claim. Having played around 3k rating myself for first 2 seasons, I can confidently say that allowing two premade players in an eight man group is absolutely not fair. And If you want proof, check Drustvar. In the EU list, 8 out of the top 20 characters belong to just 4 players, and the top team’s win rate is 74.42%. Do you really think they could reach that number without playing together? (Not even talking about how monks abused flag carry before nerfs and how it affected our win rating since they allowed duo) On the US side, it is 8 characters from 3 players, and by the way we dont even count their duos.

In short, there is nothing wrong with defending your opinions, but I genuinely hope you can start being a bit more open minded and instead of arguing with people trying to find a solution become part of it. (And yes some solution ideas are totally nonsense we can agree on that)

Yes, Domino did.
Their post implies that blitz is not a good bracket for solo players, which is wrong.

What did I say? That if you don’t like premades, you are better off playing blitz than random bg? That is a fact.

Another person in this thread speaking facts is Destrarion.
Small and medium sized groups have no alternatives to random bgs, solo players do.
Random bg is an unbalanced bracket that can’t be taken seriously anyway.
It makes absolutely no sense to go to a bracket where groups are explicitly allowed and then complain about the presence of groups while simultaneously avoiding the better bracket with no groups beyond duos.

Sometimes solo, sometimes in small groups of 2-3 players, never in syncs. I am not bothered by premades in random bg because I know that I can simply play blitz if I don’t want to see them.

The projection is wild. Tell that to those who want to abolish queuing as a group. They disregard the valid interests of players who like to play with their friends and their arguments.

Most of them are not trying to find a solution, otherwise they would be playing blitz.
Good solutions on the part of the developers include mixing factions, limiting groups size down to 3 for casual bgs, introducing a queue decline penalty to prevent sync premades.
Giving groups a handicap on player power the larger the group is also an option.

Will blizz implement any of them? Unlikely.

While the developers do nothing, the players should help themselves.
Discouraging them from playing the superior bracket is not helpful.

About duos:
It is a minor to moderate advantage, could be abolished if you ask me, doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things and is not a reason to avoid playing blitz.
The players at the top of the ladder, of which at least 50% queue purely solo don’t make excuses either. They play and win.

It is good to see the ongoing discussion in this thread; I left it a couple of weeks ago expecting it to die down. As I mentioned in linked part of the OP, I have pretty much unsubbed due to the state of PvP BG’s which is the only end game content I was interested in.

Again its unfortunate as these issues are very easily fixable as mentioned in the OP - the PvP aspect of this game has extraordinary potential but its treated as an afterthought. What a waste.

I logged on again today and got into two random bg’s. The first one I joined was the middle of a losing match and the second was against another Russian premade. What adds insult to injury is that Blizzard has the audacity to penalize you for leaving an ongoing losing match that you just joined.

I have limited time to play and if Blizzard is going to spit on it i’ll just go find my PvP fix somewhere else.

EDIT: as for those screaming “play rated” for fair matches, queuing for those takes up to an hour - not to mention you only get to do 8v8 for soloers. So both the queueing times and limit gameplay options are a non starter for a person who plays this game exclusively for PvP.
