I play WoW (retail) exclusively for PvP (BG’s). Like many others, I put in time and effort to get PvP gear but its very rare to get a remotely fair game; I am constantly being matched against premades.
Whats infuriating is this is easily fixable; PvP games like LoL, DotA ALWAYS match premades AGAINST premades and solo queuers against solo queuers. All blizzard needs to do is copy that concept, and make all matchmaking mixed faction. Problem solved.
Two small tweaks and you have yourself a PvP goldmine that many would re sub for. Has it been done? No, because blizzard does not respect our time and has always treated BG’s / PvP as an afterthought.

That or groups should receive ZERO honor from bgs, if u gonna ruin fun for every1 else u gain nothing from it.
The fact that u can queue in a group is super bullcrap. Just remove it and let pvp be healthy
There are PLENTY of activities to do with ur “friends” since every1 has 15-40 friends apparently.

This is where I disagree; I would kill to play as part of a premade, with coordinated strategies and discord running in the background. But for a fun and interesting match I would be expected to be matched against a premade.
Unfortunately there are not many active PvP communities out there. Again with the 2 tweaks I mentioned in my OP the problems would be all solved.
And I don’t want to hear from blizzard about “lore” being compromised with mixed faction matchmaking. The “lore” in WoW died some 15 years ago when they decided that Taurens could be paladins.
So in short us PvP’rs could care less about lore and want faster / fairer PvP matches.

There is rated BG, problem solved. There should never been an option to party up for random bgs.

let’s say we play with 4 friends
can you queue blitz ? no it’s limited by 2
can you queue arena ? no there’s no mode for 4 players together
can you queue RBG ? no you miss 6 players
Can you queue random battlegrounds ? yes that bracket is unranked so if people win or lose it does not matter + you can make new friends there along the way !

rated BG’s take far too much time for queueing and are too limited in their options or scope. Right now solo queue is only 8 vs 8.
Wait, i think i’m gonna cry.
There are. I know horde and alliance leaders in that premade groups but won’t tell their names to not break any rule.
I started to do one Alterac Valley daily to finally finish my horde reputation there.
In two full weeks I have won 2 games (1 because of being lucky to join a premade, one just by being better than horde), 1 game was lost against random horde team being just better and 11 games were lost against one of those notoriously known premades.
I haven’t done epic BGs for some years, this is the current state of them.
Dear Blizzard, this is the current state of your non-rated random PvP, simply disgusting. Good idea to bring new BG into this pool in Midnight without fixing these issues first…
Regarding Blitz I am commenting on it elsewhere, not that it is much better…

Then look for or request a solution to this specific problem.
Normal bgs are designed to be played alone or with friends.
I have never seen a successful game like WoW with miserable PvP like we have here. Low level isn’t even opening. You can wait days in queue.
At max level it’s group (which should have their own queues) vs solo players (which should have a separate queue). I don’t get it how it’s fun to run over people and call it pvp. It’s like you are the 16 year old insecure boy taking money from 1st graders.

If you want balanced match up you can play ranked, ranked mode make you play with people and against players of your own skills
you even have solo battleground like battleground blitz in ranked or if solo ain’t your thing there’s RBG
Unranked Random Battlegrounds is as said unranked so unbalanced
Where there’s saltwaters potion that boost dmg by 30% as consummable
Where goblins glider are useable
Where indeed you can play with friends whatever the size of the group (2-5)
Crazy people asking for Ranked Unranked Solo battlegrounds
Like stop the delusion, if you want balanced players games play ranked
Unranked aren’t designed for that, it is designed as a filler bracket to every type of players, top players and new player alike so they could play together without impacting their rating at top player and help new friends in learning PvP.
if you are new player it is better to jump right in ranked so new players face new players too
But please stop the hypocrisy of asking a Unranked Ranked Battlegrounds.
More different bracket just split up even more the PvP when you have access to a Solo ranked BG already.

If you want to play with your friend against other people playing with their friends or rated with all your friends.
If I want to play solo ranked: ???

Which also has 2 man premades in game of 8v8 while it’s name called “Solo Battlegrounds”

Claiming the mode is not solo friendly because there are some occasional duos is some serious copium. At least 50% of the lobby is guaranteed pure solo players and far from every healer plays in duos. Those duos you meet are hardly distinguishable from solo players.
What’s even more bizarre is that the players who avoid blitz because of duos play random bgs instead where they face 5 stack premades.
Since when does Blitz count as battleground. That’s a different game mode like Arena. Why don’t groups play vs groups? Because skill issues and excuses.
