Heya,
So a while ago we were promissed realm merges, and you carried a few out… and then stopped. A year or two later and the status of some realms is absolutely dire and we’ve had no update on the situation other than the stupidly expensive transfer bundle which is not a solution to the situation.
Just to point out the issue there is also this post where we’ve been trying to get a reaction on for… forever as well ;

So I’m guessing no one knows what’s going on with these then? 
They won’t reply. There is no news that they wish to share. More than likely, after this length of time, there is not going to be any news. They don’t tend to share news when it involves “not going to do anything about it”, and if they WERE doing something about it, they would say. They’re very much a “share good news, don’t tell them the bad news” company.
There is a very slight chance, possibly, once they’ve finished playing with the population on Classic realms, that they may then divert their attention to retail. And a very slight chance that once the Microsoft deal goes through, they may revisit it. I wouldn’t expect anything before then. Or, probably, after.
