Stay a While

Veritistrasz, the quest you get from him is really good. To stay a while is amazing. It frames the world from the NPCs perspective. More of this please.

I felt the dialogue took a bit too long. I don’t think I read especially fast, but still sat waiting between each of his paragraphs. A nice bit of storytelling though. Even if it didn’t work too well from a dracthyr perspective

There’s really some stupid useless quests  TBC was the most fun to level up imo

I think if it was any shorter, it would not have worked as well. I would personally like them to experiment with this form of narrative in wow. Level 70, no major rewards. Just a nice story quest the players get to enjoy.

With some game play elements but ultimately a lot of narrative.

I don’t have a problem with the length of the story. I just don’t feel there needs to be 10-15 seconds between each paragraph spoken. They weren’t big chunks of text even, you have time to read them twice and still wait for the next one.

I take it you have never actually sat down and spoken to a war veteren?

Ah I get ya, I misunderstood. Possibly, I kinda liked the pacing.

i didn’t mind it but i was mostly afk planning my glyph run at the time

I would agree, but make it a little more interactive in my opinion just waiting 1 min to do 1 answer and then continue was kinda just annoying he could just have monologued the entire thing.

“You can probably remember the smell of your parents cooking, now imagine you can never visit it again. You try living for ten thousand years, never being able to visit your home, only to find it completely different and THEN come back to me.”

The 10,000+ year old Draenei, literally cradling chunks of Argus and Lost to time Draenor and the 20,000+ year old Dracthyr who went to sleep while there was still only 1 continent and waking up with their siblings they only saw moments ago, now dead to collapsing ruins, and their ‘father’ a vilified and deranged murderer who the world celebrates slaughtering and hangs up parts of him as trophies, listening to this guy complain that his home isn’t EXACTLY the same after 10,000 years. - ‘Damn buddy that’s rough’

Well, I had no idea I had to click on him. Quest said sit and enjoy the view so that’s what I did. Thought it was just on a timer or something.

… I was sat there for a long time.

The small additional race-specific flare at the end is such a great addition. I was really surprised, and happy, that it was there. Such a small thing and yet it makes such a great quest so much better. More additions like this please!

It was an amazing quest. I simply sat there watching the mountains and listening to him. His story was very emotional and it was superbly executed in my opinion. More of this quality please.

Im only half way through the second zone and there seems to be tons of background ‘flavour’ going on! Im really impressed with how many characters they have worked in, even for NPCs who are really just window dressing.

So far seen one, tho’ a bit shorter
The end of the Taivan doggo line is a centaur kid, who is not really responsive and you have to talk to him
Not that deep or long like Stay a while, but quite heartwarming
